Asmongold Loses the Iron Man Challenge

For those of you who don't know who Asmongold is, he's a WoW youtuber that is known for his down to earth approach to content creation (and his big dick dps).

For the better part of the year, he has been undertaking the Iron Man Challenge, a challenge created to add difficulty to the WoW leveling process (you can look it up for more details). On his first Iron Man character, a known bug in the game caused him to die. The series could've ended there, but he kept the spirit of the challenge alive for his viewers and made another character to continue the legacy of his first.

Today, that legacy has officially ended.



I just wanted to stay, props to Asmongold on trying his best (he died to bullshit the second time too tbh, but what can you do). This guy is a class act and has helped hundreds if not thousands of WoW players worldwide. I just thought he deserved a thread is all.

I like Asmongold's content, he's a pretty good advert for Texans.

Iron Man is ridiculously hard to complete with bad luck because of stupid game glitches and other random shit, that said he got pretty close.

Sorry, but i wont call a guy who posts on twitter that he "wants to make azeroth great again" (as if he could, and as if he even had something like brain to be able to) and who talks about "big dicks" smart and helpful for the community.

If you knew anything about Asmon, you would know he is absolutely not elitist. Sure, he would like the game to be more challenging these days, but lets be real who wouldn't? I've never heard him speak in a duragotry fashion about casual gamers or any gorup of gamers for that matter.

I actually like Asmongold despite not liking videos posted here or any hype of streamers or youtubers.

But seeing how this vanilla stuff is all on topic... THIS is what they call hard. You think Asmongold is unskilled? But this is what so many people look at when they define what "WoW should be more difficult" means. Very... interesting and just here a valid point for discussion... that will fade away again very soon

Told someone this earlier, seasoned WoW players are dying left and right to this optional approach to leveling. Hell, I failed to it 2 times because I got cocky...currently doing a fury warrior IM. The one thing I really miss is being able to go quest where quests are red colored, like before the 1-60 revamp...would make it even more interesting!

If one wants the danger of death whilst leveling, it's entirely possible to achieve. Just gotta get over this idea that it's "gimping yourself" (there is no competition ffs) and set out to have fun!

Not a fan of Asmongold however, or rather his fans mostly due to said fans linking his videos where he shares his opinions as if he's some sort of authority on the subject. He's also quite the turncoat, feeding off trends and drama and swaying as the general opinion does.
