Personal Responsibility was formed in late Cataclysm, consisting of a few core members that played together very successfully for several years.
We’re a semi-hardcore guild (hardcore in mentality, semi-hardcore in hours) that focuses on self-improvement, competition and creating the perfect atmosphere.
Historically, we were always a 10-man raiding guild, we believed this provided a much greater challenge whilst contributing towards the tight-knit team atmosphere which is, as you know, one of our founding qualities.
With the introduction of Mythic 20-man at the end of SoO, we decided to separate ways; we had issues finding just one good player — how were we going to find another 10-12? The whole core team were away on other escapades (some moved on to top 100 guilds while others became mostly inactive) for roughly a year, but like any WoW player knows – you can’t keep away; thus here we are!
We reformed at the very end of 2015, fresh and absolutely itching to get into the new content. Armed with our new chosen classes and no clue what the hell we were doing, we re-entered the World of Warcraft.
Why Join Us?
As the guild name suggests (clever, right?) the ideology of the guild is based around a few fundamental characteristics that each member MUST attain for the relationship to work;
Personal Responsibility
The ability to understand that you with each other member have an equal proportion of responsibility within the guild, whether it be making sure you are as prepared as you can be for a raid, analysing your own play to looking for improvement or admitting your mistakes.
Competitive Nature
Second to the game, the next thing we love the most is competing with each other to see who presses the best buttons! Our DPS team are highly skilled and absolutely love to get one over on each other. The spirit of competition we believe will bring out the best in our members and promote better play (and yes, that includes you tanks!)
Criticism & Learning
As a raider you are expected to be able to analyse your own play, identifying areas for improvement and executing that accordingly; you’re never at your best.
Additionally the ability to be able to take constructive criticism is vital, we’re not trying to single anyone out or embarrass you, we’re all friends here and we all help each other.
Drive
Without this, success doesn't happen. As a person you need to be committed, as a player you need to love the game and as a raider you need to have an undying thirst for progression and success. From attempt #1 all the way to the kill on attempt #100 you need to be giving 110% each time, or what's the point?
Community and Atmosphere
Arguably the most important section of this page, we see ourselves not just a self-hardcore progressional raiding guild - but a family.
We focus on sustaining an atmosphere where each and every member feels comfortable and welcome, which in turn is the skeleton key for success; we like to log on mumble and chat about not just the game, we like to share bed stories and the time we $%&! our pants in high school. Without a solid bond between every raider we simply cannot function as a unit.
Some of us have met outside of Azeroth (I know we leave the house) and we really are all best friends N.B. If you do not currently own a ‘Major Scroll of Humour’ or a ‘Thick Hide’ you may want to think about picking one of each up from the AH, you’re gonna need it!
Future Intentions
Our intentions are to build a team that is able to compete at both a server level and a world level. To do this, we need passionate players, potentially like yourself. Whilst we are not ‘hardcore’ in raiding hours, we do have an extremely hardcore mentality and expect every raider to be absolutely 100% committed to self improvement at all times.
Requirements
While we have no strict ilvl requirements, we do expect you to be geared to the maximum available from the content that you’ve had available to you.
An extremely reliable raiding attendance is mandatory. The guild runs a small roster so it is imperative that each raider maintains a high availability.
Discord is a must. We use this at all times and priority will be given to applicants who show an interest in the community outside of raid times.
