I do feel when you have situations like this where you have a content drought I doubt it wouldn't be bad to lower it by $5. I know it's not a lot, but bear in mind a lower price may also attract people back or new people in. When a new expansion comes around, raise it back to $15. Too much work I know, but I wouldn't mind it going down to $10 a month, especially after the bitterness of WoD.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

Ya that 15 whole dollars per month thing is really taking food out of my non existent kids' mouths. I've had to get a second job for an entire hour a month just to pay for it. Hopefully Bernie Sanders becomes President and that way, I'll be able to get someone else to pay for my wow sub.

To the OP, no. 15$ a month is 50 cents a day. You can feed Somalians for the same amount

Please tell me you're full of shit, or at least have no idea about economics.

Because that sure as hell doesn't apply to the sub.

    I can't, you're just, wow... fuck it, i'm out.

I'm fine with the sub fee, it's the other service fees that are WAY overpriced (especially character transfers).

There's actually a lot of reasons why it would be a bad idea to constantly shift prices.

    heres a few:

    1) Blizzard costs are the same.
    2) Once you lower prices....resistance to raising those prices again will increase
    3) From a marketing perspective...it devalues the brand
    4) It probably wouldn't help them retain enough subscribers anyway.

    Uh...how is it wrong?

It's not supply and demand related, for sure, but that's not what he's saying.

Price was set, people are still willing to pay that price, practically every other game out there that has a sub option is ~ this price point...why change it? THAT'S what he was talking about.

    You have real life kids?

Seriously though, if it is too much money, maybe you need a cheaper hobby.

12.99 has been the price since the beginning. People are used to it so they won't complain also since realistically speaking 12.99 a month is close to nothing.

Idk man 40k gold per month is pretty fair

I think the price is fine. It's the content that is lacking.

Granted, this is an opinion question. You'll get a lot of different answers, and nobody is factually correct.

Blizzard isn't a charity, if they make money it's because people pay for the product and service they offer.

Judge you for what? Having real life kids, or refusing to spend 15 dollars a month for unlimited entertainment?

I just thought Real life kids was kind of an awkward thing to say, like you have other kids in some fantasy world that we would confuse "my kids" with.

$15/mo is pretty great deal IMO. Using movie tickets, a prime time ticked can be $10-15 depending on where you live. A movie provides 2-3 hours of entertainment. Playing once a week for an hour is comparable in $$/per hour entertainment value.

    I spend on entertainment:
$100-150/mo on ammo and range time every month
$50/mo on gas an Maintenon on my dirtbikes every month
    $50/mo on movies
$100-200/mo at casinos(can argue the potential winnings offset cost)
    $50/mo on fishing supplies/bait
    other hobbies.
$15/mo for wow is pretty freaking cheap entertainment/hobbies cost considering my

No, but they provide much lower value for it since Cataclysm.
