New Alternate Mage Hero: Khadgar

Khadgar is the latest hero to join the tavern fun; Once Medivh's apprentice, now he's renowned as one of the most powerful Mages in history!
From now until April 24 PDT, you're able to purchase the Khadgar hero from the in-game Hearthstone shop. Not only will you get a new mage hero, you'll also be doing your part to save the planet! WWF will receive 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of Khadgar #AppsforEarth.
Khadgar is only available to purchase on iOS devices, but once unlocked, he can be played on any device.
The following card back has been added:
Clutch of Yogg-Saron — Acquired at the end of the month by reaching Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of April 2016.
Paladin Deck Recipe has been updated.
Alleria will no longer use Lady Liadrin's entrance animation when starting a game.
Fixed various audio, graphical, and UI issues.


I really don't see why they would add another portrait to a class that already has one.
Rogues could've used Garona or Druids could've gotten Hamuul Runetotem.

What are your thoughts?

I like them supporting WWF, but why it's iOS exclusive AND another mage portrait is beyond me.

My thoughts are that it seems silly to make it exclusive to IOS and silly to make it another mage hero.

Sure, considering it's limited, we'd eventually have to get a permanent *insert class* hero in the future, but still...

A second mage hero is dumb, but forgivable. What's not forgivable is it being iOS exclusive. What moron thought that up.

There's absolutely no reason to keep him iOS exclusive in my opinion.

Hopefully it's just a limited time thing, otherwise, well, I guess I have a friend with a iPad if I really want it (and I do love Khadgar, so I might...)

It's not exclusive to iOS if you read the release notes. You can only purchase it on iOS but once you do it's available on anything device you play on.

1. It's an Apple sponsored charity event. It's really no different from the Samsung Galaxy promotion with the card back and packs.
2. See above.
3. Then everyone would cry that in order to get the alt druid skin you need to have an Apple device and that it's available for a limited time only, the way they did it now you can still buy an alt mage even if you don't own an Apple device.

On topic though, the portrait looks really bad and the voice acting doesn't sound like it's the same guy who did the WoD voice acting. The hero power is just the reused Arcane Missiles animation. Pretty disappointing tbh.
