I always get 3 or a 1 graduating into a 3 and then longer on top. Seems to be the normal now in England for guys my age too.
1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
2) Unrack
3) Crank out 15 reps
4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day
I get a 1 or 2 on the sides, with a 4 or 5 on top because my hair is very greasy and a nightmare to keep clean otherwise. I've tried growing it out before though, and it just didn't suit me.
Haven't cut my hair in 2 years. Girlfriend loves it and I get called "Samurai" at work when I tie it up in a bun. It's a win/win
So, we have 3 different options so far.
Bald
Long
Shaved Sides & Short/Medium top.

How old are you exactly?
I mean, at some point... around the age of 12 - 15.. the notion that 30 is old, that notion is out the window.

self inflicted wounds don't deserve a lot of compassion.
If you style yourself like a fool, being called one is fair game.
"The pen is mightier than the sword.. and considerably easier to write with."
Indeed, 30 is the new 20. I'm 35, and I still have a full head of hair.
Eh, I half agree. Someone looking like a fool, is mostly subjective. Some would call people with man buns a fool. But there are many women who's panties drop at the sight of it. But then again, free speech. So you have every right to call someone a fool if you think they look like one. Whether or not it is polite, is a different question. I would say insulting someone because of their hair style is not very polite at all.

<--- Not Balding. My hair line has receded a bit since I was young, but I am certainly not balding.

Just to chip in Balding isn't a AGE thing its a genetics thing.
You should determine your type of hair (such as Straight,Wavy,Curly,Coiled) and have a talk with a skilled male Barber concerning products which is right for your hair type as in hair gel, mousses, sprays, pomades, wax, creams. Condition your hair at least once a week and use a hair dryer which will also help.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is go discuss your hair with a skilled barber or stylist. Don't be cheap and go to the 70 year old barber who's still selling cuts for $5, or the beauty school drop out that cuts hair out of her kitchen. I've personally been growing my hair and beard out for just over four years now. I've been to my barber a couple times during that period, mainly to even things up and take care of split ends. My hair/beard works for me, I have a baby face so having the facial hair takes away that problem. My hair I grew because for the first 21ish years of my life I had basically two different hair styles, the bowl cut(early 90s) and what we referred to as a "boy's cut"(clippers to the side, little longer on top). I wanted a change so I started growing it out. I did grow and cut it all off a couple of times before this 4 year stretch.
I wouldn't expect people here having much style tbh, evident by people liking the hipster man bun lol
