I have a suggestion: just have one in six movies and TV series entirely dedicated to gays, lesbians and disabilities. And everyone would be happy.
What? Why not?

Yaaaaay identity politics...
I'm also curious as to what disabilities they count.
/sigh. BBC once again proving they're behind the times.
Nobody cares about gay and lesbian people anymore. Gay people are SO last year, they're mainstream now.
Now It's all about trans; trans is the new gay.
BASIC CAMPFIRE for WARCHIEF UK Prime Minister!
Well this is a Daily Mail article so I'm a bit dubious on whether or not this is something they just pulled out their asses or something that they've completely spun and blown way out of proportion.
I think they should employ in equal portions:
-people with zero schooling
-only high school
-diploma
33-33-33%
But they should be distributed equally in each department; HR, sales, management, upper management, etc.
Also, they should take into account the hairiness of people. There should be an equal number of workers with hair in their armpits as there are without none.
Furthermore, there should be the same number of vegans as meat-eaters.
50-50% of ios and android users
I can go on with this the whole day...
I find it cute when people think the slippery slope is a fallacy when it comes to human degeneracy.
Give'em a inch and timmy becomes tammy the otherkin snake and demands to be addressed as the 34th gender.
If they took randomly from the general population, then statistically these quotas would be exceeded.
RETH
Let's just make everything Noahs Arc, I am sure you can find one of every type of person somehow and just stick them in something and make it a show... who cares if they can't act lol.
I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW
Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance
If you're watching Mock The Week, the ossified dross that HIGNFY has become or QI (the smugest thing on telly) and complaining about a recent lack of laughs then I don't know what to tell you. Brand, Millican or Pascoe making the odd appearance is the least of those shows' worries.
Meanwhile majority of BBC viewers don't care either way
I'm perfectly fine with it, if it doesn't water down content and the performances are top notch. I saw hire normally, and if you are falling short, make a huge deal about firing some people and putting in less than worthy "talent" to meet a quota.
