Well, luckily the democratic party is gradually moving right passed center, so at least there is something to vote for.

So - you do you support Trump who will cost the US budget $11 trillion, or Bernie whose Health Care plan ALONE will save the US $1.6 trillion a year?

Are these facts never presented in US media ?

How? Sanders is left, Clinton wants some of that pie, so she is moving left. (Or at least -talking left-, can't trust a word that woman says.)

Indeed, Clinton and Obama are right wing, 70s/70s style Republicans. Bernie is actually Centrist ....

In classic terms, Clinton is right of center closer to being full right. Sanders is center close to left of center. The "almighty" Regan would be called a leftist today.

Sanders? Correct! That's why they don't really want him as president in the party.
Clinton left? Only if it suits her goals, which right now happen trying to become president.

If you were aiming for "crazy GOP rhetoric" then congrats, you won. If you were serious, then well, you still won, but may Trump have mercy on your soul, because the gods most likely will not.

This is not even by EU standards. This is by traditional American left/right standards. Look at Nixon's policies and try to tell me he was a Republican.

no sanders is a socialist, Clinton is whatever gives her more power, but i guess compared to her you can see him as a centrist, same with comparing Trump with her. Clinton is just the worse possible person to put in charge, hell shes been in charge the last 8 years of our foreign policy and we've turned an entire region EVEN MORE against us.

And that's sort of the thing why the OP doesn't mean much. If the view of republican as the financial system was collapsing and Bush was proclaiming a self fixing economy, only resulted in less than a 7% differance in popular vote... 33% unfavorable rating doesn't mean much... There will still be people who see future financial crisis coming from the left and will still support policy, like those against minimum wage increases, that force families to be dual income homes and erode actual family values.

What is she, maybe a little right on foreign policy?

And no way Jeb is that high at either. Guy was super tame and moderate.

Cruz I do agree with being the furthest right, but Trump should not be near him. Because Trump doesn't have that strong religious conviction.

But, in U.S. the center is corporatist. On that scale, Clinton is center left and republicans are center right, with Bernie being far left.

The GOP is definitely coming apart at the seams.

But the Democrats..."neo-liberal" crap? It's a combo libertarian and right-wing bullshit that undermines the progressive ideals that the Dems are supposed to stand for. The choice between the two should never be "Right" and "Farther Right."
