you must not be very familiar with how rampant stalking is in wow. i've had several people stalk me in wow.

It's not like it's terribly hard to do, or so people have told me. Something about looking into payment information and such, it becomes easy to find where someone lives if you're good enough, or have enough money to pay someone else to do it for you. It's illegal as hell, or so I understand, but people do it regardless. I've had four stalkers (that confronted me, at least) from WoW over the years that found me IRL just as an example, and I never gave out more than and email address to essentially anyone.

I'm sure that there's other ways, but that's how it was explained to me by several people, including the cops.
