It is far too easy to kill people with certain heros, with no effort or skill.

Half of the time the game is incredibly frustrating. They need serious balancing work or this game will bomb imo.
You only played for 2 days. So have I, actually. I have come to completely different conclusions.

Tanks have the lowest skillcap. It's not hard popping barrier as Reinhardt and covering your team or pushing the objective, slamming someone into the wall if you see an opportunity. They most certainly don't one-shot people unless said people fuck up utterly.

It's very easy popping a Hanzo ult into a contested capture point against people who have no idea what they're doing or what Hanzo's ult does. That doesn;t make it OP or effortless,it just means people have to learn avoiding it. Same goes for pretty much every other ult in the game. They can all be avoided in a very simple way. If you don't, this means you've made a mistake. Can't blame that on lack of balance, but on your lack of experience.

I'm sure there are some unbalanced heroes, but there are no clearly OP or useless heroes. I'm sure some balancing is needed, but OW definitely doesn't need "serious balancing" and it definitely will not bomb.

Wellp, if anything, Blizz has a pretty good customer support. I just got off of chat with them and they cancelled my pre-order instantly.

Hat's off to them. And you guys, have fun with the game, I've decided to just stick with TF2.

Oh well, so long Baby Winston...

Hanzo's ult is a good example of balance actually in my opinion. You hear him scream across the map basically, it takes a second or two to still launch from there, it moves pretty slowly, and if you're right next to him you take no damage, since it has a wind up distance.

Also, when you hear him yell, if you're defending, chances are, he's aiming at the point, get off of it.

i think from my first 30 min playing it's doesn't feel complete. either press the 1st mouse button or your specials every 10 seconds. i wish there were more abilities or shorter cooldowns or something

Honestly, you can get WAY more mileage out of Reaper's ult by diving onto a point with everyone on it, than Hanzo's. I usually end up using it to clear the point before we dive in, or to hose where I know the enemy Bastion's hiding, or that kind of stuff; you really can't rely on it killing most people because, like you said, it travels slowly enough to dodge, there's a massive audio cue, and it's pretty easy to predict where it's aimed for the most part.

I would say this is a key thing to remember about Hanzo's ult honestly.

Bastion just can't get away in time if you aim it at the right angle. By the time he changes back to Recon mode and tries running away, he's already dead.

But yeah, Reaper's ult is a lot quicker and harder to counter in time, since if you don't react right away, you're dead.

I get really frustrated with this game but I do like it. Seems to be anytime I get pissed off I just roll winston and I suddenly feel better.

Doubt I'll ever treat it as a serious competitive game but it does shine as a fun shooter.

If a bastion player is the main obstacle of your team, you need to change your class to counter him. You need to do that for ANY player who is the main obstacle, it's just that it's easier for bastion to do this than other classes. You should then find a class that counters him and practice it a little..
A well protected Bastion doesn't matter which class you pick, hes protected, only ults can get to him, and with a mercy nearby to instantly rez him if you get to him ... ya sorry, no hero requires that much work to kill and can ANNIHILATE YOU without much effort, play of the game 90% of the time proves how OP he is

Ults, Roadhog yanks, Junkrat bombs, anyone with a long-range sightline, Tracer or Reaper can sneak behind him and flank, and so forth.

Just right off the top of my head, I'm sure there's methods I'm not considering. Bastion has a lot of BRRRRT, but he's COMPLETELY immobile in that form, and he doesn't have much health.

His back is also a "headshot" area in sentry mode. Nice tracer bait.

Again, its not bastion, its the team protecting him, his team can easily counter everything you just said. Bastion is killable, bastion can be hard countered, but trying to counter a Bastion with a team who protects him lolololol

Ps4 beta is pretty good. The options are lacking a lot? Like I could not find the individual options for each character? Is that not implemented yet or can I just not find it?

I received a day one ORAS demo code. I am a chosen one.

There is no weak spot! It's just the place where you can do headshots, except compared to other people it's harder to hit.
Bastion + sentries/portal pads make chokepoint defense in escort map defense and point defense in chokepoints pretty lame tbh. In general play, neither of these are overpowered so I'm not sure how they can fix it without breaking it. I have no problems with Bastion on its own with Tracer or Widowmaker, but in those situations and with a team it's very annoying.

If i see bastion in enemy team i just take Pharah or Roadhog. He is not OP, but if you dont know how to play against bastion, he will rape you.

I think it's a good testament to how fun the game is that I can't stop playing. I told myself I wouldn't play anymore during beta, because everything is getting reset, but I play at minimum an hour every night b/c I just like the gameplay. I haven't enjoyed a shooter this much since the original CS I played when I was a wee lad.

I don't usually play healers, I avoid them like plagues in games but god damn that lucio! Tried him last night and he is just what the doctor ordered. Hit the accelerator at the right time and watch your team massacre the opponent. I do find however it is easier to hit your opponent with damage sound than it is to hit wounded allies with healing sound because the bastards won't stop moving! Maybe Lucio needs a wider spread on healing sound.

It's a FPS game, be glad you still get things next to pressing the 1st mouse button cause a lot of FPS games don't got the 3 other abilities ( not counting in throwing grenades or calling in a UAV in BF as abilities )
Its not a RPGFPS or something.

Also props if you get ults every 10 seconds, you must make some sick plays to charge them up ( semi sarcastic sentence to dismiss the claim that ults are up every 10 seconds )

Hell, the only reason I pre-ordered Overwatch is to bridge the time between now and expansion release.

I took a chance and picked Reinhart for an escort map through a bunch of narrow alleys. Quite fun shielding the entire pathway while your team shoots the enemies from all around you. Makes you feel like an unkillable god. I had a Mercy on my back too, so that was an easy win.

Too bad they didn't realize they could have all picked Pharah and destroyed us in a second and kept us trapped there forever, oh well haha.
