Possible endings for Legion and Suramar?

Legion is a really epic themed expansion, and as such requires an epic ending, one that should really shake things up for us the people groups of Azeroth.

Chronicles and Illidan have shed a lot of new revelations that really should change how we view a lot, and give us a bigger picture. Most profoundly affected by legion are the Elves, All Elves, and especially Night Elves.

The Legion has been bad news for Azeroth all round, Human scourge - their handiwork, Orcish enslavement and subsequent Draenei massacre - also their handiwork, but wow, no one has lost more or being affected more than the Elves. Nor is any racial group as closely tied.

It is fitting that the legion invasion takes us back to the Night Elves' domain, who's last major spotlight moment was their introduction 14 years + ago in WC3. Their tale is the tale of all Elves, including blood elves, but hey it is the legion that is the reason why Elves are a divided group, fighting each other, divided often to conflict over magic. A lot of self doubt too on their identity. They lost billions of lives to the demons, the cost of defeating them shattered their world - no one cared more for making Azeroth enhanced and beautiful than they. The main group for 10k years were ashamed of their arcane magical heritage even giving up use of the arcane that they had used to enhance and improve so much of Azeroth. Because of this legion 10,000 years of constant Vigil (no easy feat), didn't rebuild, those that did were plagued with difficulties and wars and fear. Second time round, they lost their immortality (NElves), lost the sunwell, got nearly wiped out by the Lich King, another Elven group losing out again big time.

Well, now we're back on Broken Isles, and the marvel that is Suramar is a reality, and nightborne elves are re-united with their kin. Much is happening now.

1. IT is known magic is no longer evil of itself (Chronicles)
2. It is known to elves they are night elves and not trolls because of magic
3. Night Elf, High/Blood Elf, High/Nightborne are all working together to end the Legion's invasion of the Isle and occupation of Suramar.
4. Even Wardens and Demon Hunters are working together, in DHs we see NElf & BElf working like brothers, even lovers.

The political relationship and direction of the Elves is poised for momentous action. What would happen do you think at the end?

Whatever happens, I really hope for a change, it's really amazing. Like a good ending, we get many sad ones, normal ones, but no great ones. The only good fistbump ending was TBC when the Blood Elves got their well back, momentous for them, but that was the only good momentous ending outside beating the main villain. The next momentous ending came in Catcalysm, but it was a sad one. The Aspects lost their power. Still we have to go back to WC3 to see any significant changes to the political climate, relationships between the races, and that was also the last time the night elves came of us really good too, even though they lost a lot again in that victory.


So, we shall find out after Gul'dan what really happens, what's been going on with Illidan. But I'm interested to see how you think or rather what you hope will be shown or come out of Legion.
