They went back on their decision to allow 3 to queue together.

As for the rank difference restrictions, those are in place for duo-queue as well with this update.

They fixed that, so that's a good move. For lower rank players I don't think they really have to see their MMR as they can tell their progression from their league/division.
They just added a GM league. They still had a GM league before this revamp, it's just that it was published on the website (embarrassingly amateur), instead of in the game.

Old rank 1 = New Masters.

    This isn't a ladder revamp, it's 2 minor changes:
    1. Make the ranking system 2 times worse and less transparent for the 96% of players below Masters.
    2. Add a GM league.

If that was all it took, it just goes to show how pathetic and small the complaints against the old system, which have now gone, were.

So what you're saying is I need to start grinding Hero League starting tomorrow if I want cool mounts.

Grubby said they are doing a soft reset (say the average is 2k, and you are 4k, your MMR for the season will be brought down to 3k).

Not to forget they'll temporarily remove the MMR "lock-in", so your first matches of the season will have more of an impact on your MMR.

No, you can see how much you are progressed into Master as well.

The complaints about the old system was that there was no way to distinguish high level players from each other ingame, and they fixed that. As for leagues and divisions, yes they're bigger than the 2% segments they have now but does that really matter that much, considering players at those ranks are unlikely to be stuck on a single rank and usually just fluctuate between a set of ranks?

So retarded decision. First, they assign automatic silence penalties, and then disable ranked play for them.

    If you're silenced, there's a reason.

If you got silenced you probably deserve to be silenced. Don't be a dick and you'll be fine. Be a toxic cunt and enjoy being stuck in QM.
