returning warlock looking for help

Hey,

I am returning to WoW tomorrow and I am planning on playing on my fresh lvl 100 warlock. I was wondering however as what spec I should gear up since Affliction and Destro are both viable specs in HFC. Would it be better to go through normal and heroic as destro or affliction or should i dual spec and gear from the start or would it just come down to personal preference?

You would end out playing both specs regardless for fights, it's not a matter of both being viable it's that one or the other is best suited for a specific boss encounter. But I'd funnel most of your time into practising Destruction and getting the gear for it seeing as you'll be playing it for most bosses in there.
