How's that relevant? The point was that the war was essentially over before we even landed at Normandy, the Russians were dawdling and conquering any AXIS land that wasn't Germany while they waited for us to catch up so they could start the battle of Berlin.

No, if you look attentively, the expulsion of German forces from all Soviet territory occured during IOperation Bagration which was launched the 22 june 1944. Which is, duh, after the Normandy landings. At that time, the Allied had been for more than a year in Italy.
