US political threads are always a hit on these forums, so I thought I might give an AUS political thread a go.
Bill Shorten (Labor) and Malcolm Turnbull (conservative Liberal + National coalition) had their first political debate ahead of the Australian July 2 election, with Shorten declared the winner.
In my opinion it did seem like Bill resonated with the audience more than Malcolm did. It was just hard to believe a $200 million man (Malcolm) saying that he understands what people paying off their mortgage for 28 years are going through.
What does everybody else think? Does Shorten have a legitmate chance of winning Turnbull's "unloseable" election?
