Are gryphons domesticated?

Are gryphons domesticated or simply tamed? Two different things, a tamed animal is still a wild animal that is simply held captive or in the service of a human (elephants for example). A domesticated animal is animal that is selectively bred to the point that they're no longer wild and are dependent on humans (dogs or sheep).

So are gryphons tamed, semi-domesticated or domesticated?

I'm not sure but would guess tamed and not fully domesticated like a house cat or pet dog. Probably similar to horses, wherever they fall in this.
