Yes, I don't play a video game for its gameplay mechanics, I enjoy raiding but raids are just nothing.

Raiding is the only thing that keeps me subbed after the first 2 to 3 months. So yes I would play it, but I would be done with the game a lot sooner.
Raiding has become a burned out content that needs to be replaced with something else, not to mention that tying all the story behind raiding including mythic exclusive story content is just a dickmove.
The sad truth is that WoD prooved that you cant be an MMO and an RPG at the same time, you have to commit to a choice.
Blizzard seems set on commiting to giving raiders and dungeon players what they want, but it may come at the cost of everyone else.
So ultimatley...
No, I dont want raiding anymore, I dont really want dungeons either, I want something new, a world dungeon, world raids, world content everyone can do together at convinence levels.
Raiding is definatley not for me, it never really was, and frankly it never will be.
Highly doubt it, they just wouldn't be able to pump out meaningful dungeons quick enough to stop me getting bored of running the same pool over and over. At least a raid (on a proper difficulty) you can get stuck at a certain boss for a few lockouts and get a real buzz when they finally die.
Only reason I still play WoW and keeps coming back is because of the raiding, but I agree sometimes they put too much focus on the raiding and too little to do and progress outside of raiding, so good that they adress that in Legion.
Guess not... out of early expansion when you spend all the time leveling, I usually spend my time raiding , like 85% time raiding and 15% time doing anything else (not ladder pvp/leveling alts/professions/farming goods/etc)
I guess it would depend on the level of effort they put into the "remaining" content. Well, i say "remaining" because it should really be the bulk of the content n the first place, but somehow has occupied an increasingly tinier part of the design space with each iteration of the game. As a result, WoD without raiding would have been a total shitshow after reaching 100 (if you even got to enjoy the leveling, what with the broken down servers on launch day).
OMG 13:37 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Cleave unto me, and I shall grant to thee the blessing of eternal salvation."
And His disciples said unto Him, "Can we get Kings instead?"
I would most defintely keep playing. As long as I get to exist in this world and have something to work towards I'm happy. Would I be a little disappointed? Yea. But a lot of the worldbuilding and fun to be had in wow doesn't even come from organized gameplay for me.
If there was no content to replace the raiding, then no.
yes, as long as it had a good number of dungeons, and other group content to compensate
Absolutely. With raiding out of the picture Blizzard could focus all their efforts on making those other activities you mentioned worthwhile and lasting. Playing WoW according to a schedule isn't really appealing to me anymore, I have a lot more fun playing with a small group of friends an hour here and there when everyone's available and by myself the rest of the time.
No. I'd probably level up in each expansion and then quit.
No, atleast not with pvp in its current form
Yes I would if they made engaging and fun 5 mans like they used to, there was a time when 5 mans were equally if not more fun than raiding.
If I wanted an MMO experience without any depth and meaning, I'd continue playing. Alternatively I could go play RuneScape and farm 200 million farming XP.
Nope. Playing wow since launch. Really raiding since BC. Would probably stop if raiding wasn't a thing anymore.
I really love raiding. Being in a big group, in a big dungeon. It's fun. Really can't see what other content could give that feeling.
Organised raiding at the highest level is an experience like no other. It is simultaneously the reason why I love this game, and why I've quit multiple times in the past. As I get older, juggling real life and raiding becomes more and more difficult to do.
I love this grp of ppl that think they know what they are talking about when they say "massive raid resourses" ahaha, hilarious
I would not. I did back when I was 10 when the game came out, but ever since I started raiding in Wrath, well.. I haven't really stopped. If raiding stopped being a thing, so would my sub
