Hardly anybody in Britain ever actually ever votes in European elections, but we can if we want to.

A strict representative democracy without referendums has some huge flaws. Once elected the politicians can do whatever they want (in legal boundries) even completely against the will of their voters.

We have seen this in Germany last year. Merkel was always against mass migration and said 2 years ago that multi culturalism has failed. And yet shit hit the fan completely unctrolled back in september.
To this day there are still hundreds of migrants crossing our borders. 700k are expected this year and this is without family reunion.

I do find it amusing people actually believe that there will be no repercussions, just to remove all their first gained benefits over other member state i want them out. As for full control of borders regarding immigration, yes the UK can do that if the UK plans to isolate themselves completely and become fully self sustainable with no export or import from other nations, especially not the EU, China, USA and other G8's will have other requests tied to a trade deal, which again the UK on its own won't be able to do much against.

Why should Spain, Poland or greece get any say in the matter when their countries are withered fractured and poor? the EU is a trade agreement first, let those who can actually trade speak.

Spain is 14th largest economy in the world (6th in Europe). Poland is 25th (10th in Europe).
