How do you deal with big dogs? Sick of this shit.

So I might've posted many months ago before about an unpleasant owner and his two big ass dogs, but now I've had enough of this shit. To make this short: Where I jog or go walk for breakfast, it's dog central. Everyone pretty much has a dog. Now the little puppers like chihuahuas and pomeranians will never bug you, they just wanna play or they're being held and not walked. Never had any issue ever. However, every fuckin time with big dogs it boils down to them suddenly staring my way, frozen in place while their owner is too busy fuckin jerking off. If you walk by them even slightly hesitantly, they WILL growl at you or bark at worst. I've never been attacked yet but a lot of the time the owner is like "no, bad dog!" or "sorry, he's just nervous."

Like fuck off I'm so tired of this shit of being scared to walk down my own goddamn lane. A lot of these "dogs" don't even look like dogs they look like goddamn wolves if they're not pitbulls because god knows why they're allowed to roam free. And I'm paranoid these big dogs are just out to get ME because I see them interact with the little doggies and they never get violent. I saw said pitbull looking at me suspiciously have fun with a passing by Yorkie for example...which is how I snuck by when he was distracted.

Sounds like you are the problem, not the dogs.

You need to become the alpha male, the pack leader. Rip off your clothes and dominate the shit out of them.

Sounds like what you need to do is grow a pair and realise that most dogs wouldn't dare attack a human.

Some dogs are just vocal especially if you catch their attention and then act all weird about it. The more you act like a twitchy freak around strange dogs, the more they're going to react to you like you're a weirdo.

Ignore them. Don't even look at them, treat them like they don't exist. If you're walking past them, go around rather than walking directly towards them. If they still growl or whatever, don't react. You said yourself that you haven't been attacked so it sounds like the owners have them under control.

Yeah, I never had any problems with big dogs, small dos however annoy the fuck out of me with their constant yapping.

"huge" being keyword. Aka, you make the wrong fucking step and they can rip your throat out. Now the friendliness aside, if it were a little dog that was pissed for some reason, what'd he/she do? They'd nibble your legs at worst. Which is why I don't fear those dogs.

While some big dogs will do that [the freeze and stare thing] regardless if all big dogs act that way towards you it may be more in response to getting nervous because you are nervous..

They smell your fear. They don't like it. It's disrespectful.

It's like a muscular guy walking around the street and everoyne looking fearful at him. He'll eventually ask "WHAT THE HECK GUYS I'M JUST A PERSON" - the dog will get nervous because you'r all nervous around him. You must conquer your inner insecurities.

...Or maybe I'm talking bollocks and the dogs really don't like you. Maybe it's your smell!

Tell the owner, not us. It kinda sucks you have to wait until an incident before anything can happen, but again, nothing has happened so there's nothing to be done. Dogs growl, dogs bark. That's what they do. Bring something for self defense with you, or again, approach the owner. Are they leashed? Behind a fence? If they aren't call animal control/police.

its already been said, but dogs can smell your fear. Just remember most dogs will never actually bite you, they tend to bark and make a big show out of things when their on a chain/leash because they want to appear more dangerous then they actually are. If a dog does bite you, it can be put down and most owners never want that.
