Trump University Scandal is Getting Worse for Trump

So apparently today it was released that Greg Abbott, governor of Texas, dropped their investigation into Trump University in 2010 after Trump ended the Trump University organization in Texas. Then Trump quietly bribed him for $35,000 to Abbott's gubernatorial campaign for Texas Governor.
    http://www.twcnews.com/tx/austin/pol...WC_News_Austin

Apparently he has done this in Florida too. He gave $25,000 to Florida AG Pam Bondi in 2013 and she quietly dropped the probe into the Fraud of Trump University. https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...dca_story.html Was supposed to go to a "charity" instead went to a pro-Bondi group.

Is this going to sway Trump voters? Nope. Here comes the handwaves.

Well, Trump and Hillary, same thing with both. Cult of personality. People don't care what they've actually done.

In all seriousness, if you're put off by that much of a whiff of a corruption, you really must not have been following the Clinton's very closely for the last 20 years.

Being a moderate Senator and a modestly successful Secretary of State who was barely listened to by her boss and Susan Rice. Yeah, she's a real monster.

Good, because that shit is serious.

If Conservatives are frothing at the mouth about Hillary's email situation they should be as equally concerned about Trump outright scamming people out of thousands of dollars.

Trump could sacrifice a child live on national television and it would not have the slightest effect on his fan base.

I think you expect too much of people you should expect very little of.

The bit on how the clerical errors caused the issue is amusing.
What are we gonna do now? Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?
'Cause they're working for the clampdown
They put up a poster saying we earn more than you!

At this point I am surprised that many of them figured out how to access the internet.

Yup. Typical pump and dump fraud scheme.

"In blunt testimony revealed on Tuesday, former managers of Trump University, the for-profit school started by Donald J. Trump, portray it as an unscrupulous business that relied on high-pressure sales tactics, employed unqualified instructors, made deceptive claims and exploited vulnerable students willing to pay tens of thousands for Mr. Trump’s insights.

One sales manager for Trump University, Ronald Schnackenberg, recounted how he was reprimanded for not pushing a financially struggling couple hard enough to sign up for a $35,000 real estate class, despite his conclusion that it would endanger their economic future. He watched with disgust, he said, as a fellow Trump University salesman persuaded the couple to purchase the class anyway.

“I believe that Trump University was a fraudulent scheme,” Mr. Schnackenberg wrote in his testimony, “and that it preyed upon the elderly and uneducated to separate them from their money.”

Which is why this court case is going through. Trump made the mistake of making fun of the Judge of the court case, and now I can expect him to be royally reamed for EVERYTHING. You don't make fun of the judge of your court case. That is a good way to make sure that the court case convicts you on any little thing. Including lesser charges.

Never heard of Clinton being liked because of personality. Clinton is the high school valeditorian who is only moderatly interesting in the 20 clubs she is part of so she can get into Harvard.

Clinton is success because she is an achiever but to do she means she probably isn't the most personable person even when she is being genuine. The ship is steady as it goes with Clinton, you know it won't sink but you also lost out on the scenic route or arriving 2 days early.

The people who support her are "with her", not with with her policies.

you would be shocked, or at least should be alarmed at the number of court cases/settlements that man has been involved in, 3,500.

I don't think that alone convicts him of anything particularly unsavory. He's been involved in more cases as a plaintiff than as a defendant.

Wow, why isn't the media covering this more? I guess they are on Trump overload. Going to be so bad for Trump if he doesn't get elected he will have to go into exile. Maybe Tijuana.
    Also today in Trump:

-Trump also said the "Mexican" judge is not fit to try the case because of his heritage. Stoking the racist vote, which he has locked up, so shrug.

-Trump also donated some of the vet charity money to a charity who works closely with Sean Hannity who spins everything Trump does as amazing. #DontheCon giving favors to those that serve him well in the media.

-Another Trump delegate was arrested, previous one for child porn, this one for plotting treason and to kill Americans. He has the best people working for him.

no, of course it doesn't. and if I'm not mistaken a few of those cases where he's the plaintiff, he's suing people like Bill Mahr for making a joke about him, he sued The Onion for fuck sake. the point is, it makes him look EXCEEDINGLY, unsavory.

Interestingly the story also busted him on his claim "he never settles his lawsuits", with what they say were over 100 settlements they found.

Not among thoughtful individuals. The report says him, or his companies. He has a lot of companies. It includes everything from a fight at a Trump casino to someone crashing a golf cart on a Trump golf course. How many lawsuits do you think Disney has been involved in? It comes with the territory. Unusual for a presidential candidate? Sure. But not for a businessman of his stature.

There's lots of things that point to the fact that he is an extremely unsavory character, which he is of course. I just don't think this is one of them.
