Rules:

- One random character to be polled every day, by rolling the dice. There is no predetermined list of names, so ANY character in the Warcraft universe could appear at any given day.
- Characters need 5 nominations to make it to the next poll. Meaning, any given character to get 5 unique nominations will be due the next day instead of picking a random character.
- If a character has two incarnations, both from the main and alternative universes, then the poll will be referring to both versions simultaneously.
- Every ten days, we will have a major character up, instead of a random! This will serve the purpose of giving you guys something to look forward to for sticking around. Meaning, Days #10,20,30... etc will be guaranteed to have a big name showing. This doesn't mean they won't appear in random days though, nor that you should stop nominating them if you want to see them sooner.

Nominations Rules Update - 9/6/2016

* Players are limited to only one nomination per topic per user. You can still nominate a new character every single day once if you want.
* Any nominated character that remains at either 1/5 or 2/5 nomination for five days will be dropped off the nominations list. Everyday, a character with either a 1/5 or 2/5 nomination will receive an exclamation mark (!). Once a character receives five marks, they will be dropped.
* If a character qualified from 1/5 to 2/5, their exclamation mark (!) counter will reset, meaning they get to stay five additional days on 2/5 even if they were previously on 4 x (!) at 1/5, before being dropped.
* Any character to get 3/5 nominations can NOT be dropped off the list under any circumstances.
* The Game Master preserves the right to decline any nomination without justifying the reason, although one will be presented for most cases. The Game Master can't denominate or reduce the amount of nominations any character receives under any circumstances.
* The Game Master can not nominate any new characters, or endorse any already existing characters with an extra nomination.

* We will continue to take nominations for Season 2. The date of Season 2 start is yet to be determined, but won't be too soon after Season 1.
* Season 2 nominations will appear on a separate list with the same rules above applying. To strike some balance between randomness and letting the players nominate, they will be appearing in a random order initially starting Day #101, and not in the order they got nominated.
* A new perk for Season 2 will most likely be added.

I expected this at one point in the topic. I did NOT see it coming as soon as the topic is created lmao

On topic, Taretha got a 7 from me. While not much of a compelling character, her death really touched me very deeply. Also, and this is a very important aspect to me, the entire arc touched the little child inside me in a good way. I can not exactly describe it, but it feels like this particular arc pandered somewhat to the children books love inside me.

Haven't been on the lore forum in a while. It's good to come back to a character whose death wrecked me.

8/10 - Probably the character death that made me die the most inside. The scene of her head being thrown down to Thrall was intense.

Her death hurt, probably one of the better passages from a wow book, how it rips thrall apart. When I played an orcs I always wondered how taretha would respond to the current events of wow. Would she still believe in the orcs, or change her mind? I also enjoy that thrall initially trusted Jaina because she reminded him so much of taretha. I give her an 8/10 just because of her effect on thrall and his life. Cheers for the young human girl who helped start the new horde

At some point, about ten years ago, Blackmoore made Taretha his mistress, a position she secretly despised (there are references to strange bruises on her wrists). At some point, Arthas Menethil visited Durhholde Keep in order to watch Thrall in a fight. Arthas remained in the keep during the next night. Aedelas sent Taretha to Arthas to please him however, Arthas and Taretha were just chatting. Arthas compared Taretha to Jaina by appearance.

8/10. A good side character, likable, very impactful (pretty much changed the course of Azeroth's history) with short but engaging story that ended prematurely in a sad way. Even her alternate universe self was done well and in a way that shed new light on the Taretha we knew. While Go'el sucks balls so heavy they dwarf Sargeras in size, Thrall was a great character back in his time and she's what made him become who he was.

+1 for Algalon.
