    Subtlety Artifact Weapons

    I play Subtlety rogue and hopefully will still play it in Legion. Am I the only one that doesn't really care for the way the Subtlety Aritfact Weapon looks? They look kind of stubby and not that creative. I like the Assassination daggers better and the Outlaw Artifact weapons look more creative. This is just my opinion. I will probably end up transmoging them which kinda makes me sad.

    ya basically since the first day it was revealed no one said they liked them. but it makes sense, the spec blizz doesn't care about gets the shaft for their artifact weapon. even comparing it to the other rogue artifacts u can see how bad it is:

    mut = fucking GARONA's daggers
    outlaw = sweet cursed pirate blades
    sub = 2 teeth on a stick

    they tried to salvage how bad our artifact was by adding new skins but they were just terrible, i think they had interns working on it the whole time or something. personally i am leaning on transmogging them to the Soul Eater which perfectly fits what a sub dagger should look like to me

    I was also disappointed by sub artifacts and will probably transmog them. Fat and ugly is all I can say.

    I think the sub daggers are almost universally regarded as one of the worst artifact designs.

    after looking at them in wow head i think they look nice and have a simple yet awesome upgrades

    There are three different looks for the rogues subtlety artifact weapon; this i know for sure. plus they leaving up the option to use transmogrify as well.

    You're defintely not the only one. There are a lot of people who actually really hate them.

    I personally can't get over how much I dislike most of their skins, although I really like the newest one. I think it was called "Venombite" on Wowhead.

    Actually, there are 6 different skins, 2 of them are very similar, one being the basic skin, the other it's direct upgrade counterpart.

    Beyond the 6 skins are 4 different colors for each, so 6x4 is 24 different variances for each rogue artifact(not just sub) ie: 72 artifact variances for the rogue class.\

    Should also note that the visuals found on wowhead are not 100% accurate in-game representations.

    I'd prefer something more needle-like. The weapons are too thick and curved.

    Yeah, considering the name of the spec you'd expect something a little more subtle looking. I don't hate it outright like a lot of people but the base model is nothing special. I haven't seen all the alt skins yet.

    Subtlety likely ended up in the group of specs that had no current lore to back its Legendary, and then the devs had no clue what to do. In the end Sub got a generic "powerful weapon crafted from a powerful beast belonging to a powerful person".

    Then there was likely some fear of making simple, subtle daggers that, while befitting of Sub, would look more like grey weapons than legendaries. But all in all Rogue's daggers are simply uninspired, they don't stand out as something you look at and immediately recognize as legendaries in contrast to Outlaw's cutlasses which look really good (and also have a generic lore behind, so that isn't the issue itself).

    And to be honest, I find most of the daggers in WoW somewhat underwhelming too. I think Blizz is just not very good at them.

    And instead they gave us...

    ...a tooth, like that's legendary

    ya just from doing the artifact scenario too u can tell they were like, "uhh... just fucking throw in Kil'jaeden in there, should make it seem epic". it's so weird too cause the mut quest line makes so much more sense for sub since ur in the stealth basically the whole time.

    Agreed with everything. Throwing Kil'jaeden in there and trying to make the quest look epic and lore important felt like an excuse for the poor artifact design. And Assassination's quest is what Subtlety's should have been like, instead of just going to the Twisting Nether, kill a bunch of demons and get a pair of dog teeth.

    I understand that not every spec can have a Legendary with awesome lore backing it and I'm perfectly ok with it, but they lost the chance to make use of something that is meaningful for Rogues which is Ravenholdt. Lord Ravenholdt's family daggers or something would make fine artifact weapons with the possibility of some cool traits. The concept of Akaari's Soul, for example, just shows how uninspired the devs were for Sub's artifact, since it doesn't feel special in any way and who cares for some random chic's soul appearing and repeating our attacks.

    Also the artifact ability, Goremaw's Bite. The only thing Blizzard could make out of Sub's artifact is that the beast from where it came from had a nasty bite - wow, so cool!

    For those who have yet tot see the complete garbage (IMO) that Blizz gave Sub Rogues, look here: https://youtu.be/H8cspOq_vmQ?t=26m23s

    I will flay your mind.

    At least they're letting us transmog them.

    Obviously this is very subjective, but I think that if you tried hard enough you could find bad things to say about most artifact weapons. Personally I don't mind the lore behind these, but I agree that they look meh.

    They look like total garbage imo. For sure going to be using the CM dagger mogs with these.

    Also the quest line itself is trash. Hey this famous assassin just happens to right here in Dalaran! Feels like a couple of interns made the whole thing in 5 minutes.

    I consistently see sub artifacts xmogged to random stuff so it's probably safe to say no one really likes them. They are venomous fangs but we don't use poison? The model is small and strange and feels like they just painted some concepts and made up a story to fit them. I don't like these at all but I also don't like the Kingslayer model much either and just xmog it to zandalari daggers anyway.

    I liked one of the different models but I can check which one of them it is atm because I'm on my cellphone, it's not a fang and it is curved
    Edit: Venombite
