Yes, because doing that would intrude upon Prot's uniqueness in this regard.

This is the only thing I HATE about playing Tauren. You can't fit through anything while mounted.

It's what I hate about playing gnomes also. Blizz thought it would be funny to give them the biggest mount, but it's really just a pain in the butt. Can't fit through any doorway, have to dismount by mailboxes or I block everyone's view, etc. Hell, the reason I played a gnome was so I wasn't so intrusive, and yet it ended up the opposite.
