The NATO - Russia Thread

Making a thread so we can keep all the NATO - Russia events in a place.

I am going to keep this very first post reserved in order to be used as a reference for events like war games, summits (like the one in Warsaw in a couple of weeks) and other memorable things.

It didn't help that Putin had Russia's long term ally Assad in Syria terrorize Sunni Syrians and herding them like cattle into the EU so they claim refugee status. He did this to destabilize the EU, the Brexit being an example of this destabilization.

This is basically an attack on NATO don't you think?

As far as "herding refugees" goes, Turkey seemed to had a lot more involvement and benefits from that compared to Assad/Russia.

"US long-term ally Erdogan supported terrorists in Syria by supplying them with money for stolen Syrian oil and herded refugees into Europe to get billions in aid and visa concessions" sounds a lot more plausible really.

This is basically an attack on NATO don't you think?

And Kurds shelling Turkey (and doing terrorists attacks) is direct attack on NATO member... so?

I am 100% sure that the situation with NATO will deteriorate a lot more. I am foreseeing some very dangerous downgrading in the relations between NATO and Russia and unless some politicians intervene to chill things out we might see a new cold war really soon.

Around two years ago, when the Ukrainian thread was still active and kicking, i came here and made a very bold statement which was:

"The USA ABM shield in Europe is the biggest thread that humanity faces."

The reason i made that comment is because that shield despite that affects directly the strategic balance between USA and Russia, it can be also used as a first strike instrument keeping in further risk Russia's nuclear deterrence potential.

This is what Putin said a few days ago to some foreign reporters on the matter:




The situation is deteriorating dangerously as Russia WILL BE FORCED to respond with whatever that means to global security.

I agree especially when:

a) I made this thread mostly for the Warsaw meeting NATO is having in July
b) Since German FM few days ago, today the Hungarian PM and last week Italian PM all said NATO is warmongering
c) and lastly since Putin's came in front and said some very heavy shit last week and today.

You must be completely moronic to say the least in order not to understand how the relationship of NATO and Russia are deteriorating day by day.
