OK , it is starting to make sense now. BTW what happened to Garrosh in our timeline? His end is at his judgement in MoP? But he escapes to WoD and dies in an alternate universe ( WoD ) am I getting it? :P

In warcrimes you get the details but that is the gist of it. There is also not a AU Garrosh since AU Grom did not have a son.

You can basically ignore everything that happened in WoD beside these points:
-Thrall killed Garrosh but "cheated" by using the elements, he's lost most of his powers as a result
-Archimonde is assumed permanently dead (who is the same Archimonde as prime universe because the Burning Legion is a fixed point in all realities and timelines -seriously don't even ask about this)
-alternate Gul'dan is sent to our prime universe and time, finds Illidan, setup for Legion

Nothing else subtantial happens to the lore that affects the prime universe, I doubt Y'rel or alternate Durotan or whoever else from Draenor will show up on our side in the near future.

It's easier to not think of it as time travel at all, I think. While it was a past version of Draenor, it was essentially linked to our universe, so chronologically everything just keeps moving straight.

As others have said, the only real takeaway is that Gul'Dan is back and Garrosh is dead.
