The greatest song of all time...to you.

I am long time lover of music, my first memories are from when i was around 5 years old singing billy joels uptown girl to my relatives at family reunions. We all go through stages of music in our lives but does that one song stand out to you through all of it?

I could say end of the line by the traveling wilburys, roy orbisons's you got it, the guess who's undun, alice n chains i stay away etc etc..

The song i pick for all time is, Gotye-somebody that i used to know. Undoubtedly my pick might be different if youtube existed back in the 50's and 60's, but for an overall experience i have yet to find a song to surpass this masterpiece.

Too many amazing songs to ever choose 1 greatest song.

Though 2 of the first that popped into my head were Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen and Bat out of Hell (full version) - Meatloaf.

LIKE A SINNER BEFORE, THE GATES OF HEAVEN I'LL COME CRAWLING ON BACK TOOOOO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Totally agree about there being too many to pick from, thats the idea of the thread : )

If you were forced to pick one, what would it be.

Greatest Show on Earth - Nightwish. Currently my favorite because I think it paints a beautiful picture of the universe and our place in it.

While your lips are still red - Nightwish. Had this as our first song at my wedding, beautiful melody and quite emotional.

wow a 24 min song, you dont see many epics like that in this genre and more surprising that they actually perform it live

No way could I pick just one song. I would have trouble making a list of even 100 best songs without feeling like I was leaving way too much out.
