what time do americans eat dinner that constitutes "early" ?
Hi
First, generalization is general.
Second, what do you think is early? I eat dinner at anywhere from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Well, I'm Australian and I eat dinner anywhere from 7pm til 9pm if that helps people with something to compare to.
Usually around 630pm after I get home and shower. Seems kind of late actually.
Patience is a virtue. I never claimed to be virtuous.
It varies quite a bit from household to household sooooo....
I eat between 6:30pm to 7:30pm usually
Shhhhh, she's doing magical trig bullshit trig substitutions
5pm is like lunch or maybe a semi-late lunch to me. My friend eats dinner at like 5pm. I also tend to stay up much later, but even then I'll have dinner around the same time (9pm maybe) and then any food I want after that is just pretty much midnight snack like granola bar or something.
Then again, the sun pretty much never sets during the summer where I live (Alaska.)
if you're up at 6 am eating breakfast , lunch becomes 11 ish , eating dinner at 5 isnt unreasonable at all
We normally eat between 5:30 and 6:30 mostly because one of the people in my house goes to bed not long after that to get up early in the morning for work
Most (white collar) working class people in SE Asia (Hong Kong), don't get off work till 6-630pm (standard practice).
So eating dinner after 8pm is pretty common here.
Guess Americans get off work early...
Cause its not good for you to eat dinner late.
Who fuck waits until 8-9 to eat? I mean maybe for my second or third supper but definitely not my first.
I eat dinner anytime after lunch till before I go to bed.
We usually eat about 8pm and I'm in the US, so generalizing is generalizing. If Americans all at at 5pm the restaurants in the US wouldn't be open until 9-11pm as most are (and many later). But many folks do eat earlier. It's all personal preference, and overall it's better health-wise to eat earlier before bedtime.
