"Ok" is likely not an abbreviation.
Wifi (which wasn't on the list) isn't an abbreviation.
Dvd has changed what is an abbreviation for - showing that the abbreviation itself is more important.
4-H, G4, Charta77 and similar mixtures of letters and numbers have been with us for quite some time.

Simply put if they are in the dictionary, then they are "words" of the language, and in other cases they might be names - and found in encyclopedias, such as Encyclopædia Britannica (a name used in English even if the letter "æ" isn't a normal English letter).

Well, I understand how the basics of how they are supposed to work - but not how they will change the language.
Viewing "a qubit" as a multi-state bit doesn't seem right, since the super-position is between multiple qubits - i.e. the important part is that there are super-positions of the complete state of all qubits. However, with error-coding (which is necessary) it becomes messy again.
