Thanks fam
I really hope BM and MM are close in Legion. I don't really want to be forced to play MM for another year or so because it's the best DPS of the class.
Curious as to why you recommend Barrage for Marks, but say to avoid it for BM? I'm trying to figure out why this choice would be different between the two specs as neither one is affected by spec specific situations such as pet vs no pet.
Barrage just does more damage then A Murder of Crows for Marksman, when I was playing around with it on beta.
Personally I wouldn't use Barrage at all, not due to damage tuning but rather due to the sheer amount of neutral, slow to kill, trash in instances and in the world. Seriously it will slow you down significantly to accidently pull these trash mobs.
When I was younger I used to hope bad things wouldn't happen.
Now I just hope they're at least funny when they do.
That's a borderline moronic reason to not pick a talent. These guides are focused on explaining what the best choices are for optimal performance. That you still can't control barrage despite the spell being pretty much mandatory for an entire expansion really doesn't matter. I'm really not sure why you felt you had to add this, the talent is the absolute strongest for MM and it gives immense cleave/AOE power on top of being worth using for single target. You just have to think before you click it and be in a proper position (such as standing on the side of the pack you want to blast, so that you fire straight into the pack then a wall, instead of standing 30 yards away firing in a fucking world-wide arc).
Thanks! Looking at these now.
"I Am Vengeance. I Am The Night. I Am Felfáádaern!"
Azor or anyone else how good PVP-Trinkets will be from tomorrow onwards? Versatility on use and mainstat/versatility and mainstat-proc ?
"This will cause a lot of downtime, because you will be waiting for focus to generate to allow you to cast Aimed Shot altogether, but it is the best way to play the spec."
Oh goody...
That pretty much sums Hunters up in Legion, at least from what I've seen. Just plain terrible choices from which you have to select the least worst options. I may be completely wrong, but as someone playing a Marks Hunter since Wrath, occasionally using other specs because they truly do more damage, I would like to see Marks like this:
No freaking pet as a baseline, not a talent. Hunters still have BM if they really want a pet, but pet AI has been terrible for years and appears worse in Legion. Add to that things like the removal of Glyph of Misdirect and pets are really more trouble than they are worth at this point.
Tier 1 would be options like Careful Aim, Steady Shot and True Aim.
Tier 2 would be LnL, Black Arrow and some other new talent choice. We would keep our Chimera Shot, and Black Arrow would replace it if chosen.
Tier 3 would remain unchanged
Tier 4 would be the same, with Explosive Shot reverting back to it's old functionality.
Tier 5 unchanged
Tier 6 unchanged
But I would also make Aimed Shot castable while moving again. I have zero faith in Blizzard to design encounters that don't require Hunters to go and be the same Hunters they've been for several years now. The guys doing the grunt work of kiting, add control, etc. Make us stand still for the all powerful shot that is supposed to be Marked Shot, but otherwise allow us to move and play our damn class like it should be played.
might be ot. but do any one knows how we are gonna start a fight? couldent see it in guide. like are we starting with sidewinder?
You'll start by precasting aimed shot (if without 4 set), then casting Barrage instantly in combat (as it's the highest priority move you'll have available - no marked shot off the bat), hope Marking procs, use Sidewinders to regain barrage focus (and get a charge recharging), then you'll either be using Marked shot (if you got a Marking proc of your first sidewinder), or Aimed shot (to burn off focus), and at that point you just keep following the priority in the guide.
Unsure if you should cast an aimed shot even with 4 set to burn more focus than just barrage, though.
