Quick question: Rain of fire for affliction.

Did afflic warlocks lose rain of fire in the Legion ability purge?
May the lore be great and the stories interesting. A game without a story, is a game without a soul. Value the lore and it will reward you with fun!

They got an (improved) Seed of Corruption, which is basically free while Rain of Fire cost 3 shards and deal close to nil damage, relative to the use of resources.

So, to answer your question, yes, they lost it due to the purge.

Except that RoF stacks on itself now, so you're supposed to roll immolates or throw them up with Cata and then chain RoFs on top of one another with your massive shard generation.

Don't fall into the FnB trap, use RoF.

Considering that RoF now snapshots the buffs as opposed to earlier version(s), it has massively improved itself from the hollow shell of earlier expansions to a rather doable AoE.
I still would prefer a ticking AoE debuffing people with Corruption in the end, rather than setting fire to the rain.

Well, that is sad. Have been leveling a affliction warlock and i feel pretty much useless against something like the dark iron conscripts in BFD. Had to know, if that problem had been there for long or if it is a Legion thing. Have to post something on the offical forums for this.
