I am fine with a 14 month long "drought" in that case. I've never been close to ever completing everything I've wanted to during these transition periods, not even now during WoD. But then I don't have the mentality of a fat kid eating a cake, unlike some.
I would enjoy the idea the last tier last long enough for my semi-casual guild to finish conntent AND farm the mounts from the last raid (if exist, probably will) for the whole team. Yes, that means extra 5 months of farming after content is done. Therefore, 12 months.

On a side note, isn't it ludicrous the whole team works on downing a boss and then some have to wait 4-5 months to get their mount assuming little to no turnover in the team? I heard SOO was dropping 2 mounts... (No idea didn't raid it). DS was not a problem because we had 10 man team, cuts the farm time in half.

I would also welcome a filler patch in those 2 months that brings some casual content to non-raiders. Probably not gonna happen though. "Filler raids" like Halion can die in a fire. Pre-expansion content drought needs more non-raid content to fill.

Considering they never promised several tiers for WoD but that have already got Legion, I think we wont have so long for the last one this time. I recon it will just be released later due to the extra tier and other content patches. I believe with WoD they probably intended more content patches - but when they saw how some of it was going down and how many left they decided to abandon doing anything for WoD and just work on Legion. My guess would be between 8 and 12 months for final tier. I think it needs to be 8 months+

Maybe they need to cut content? We don't know and always going by the worst possibilities at least never keeps you frustrated and you can be surprised by them keeping their word.

One year. As always. If you have other expectations you have mental issues.

16-18 months. After the announcement for the next expansion, Blizzard will spend the next year telling people that it is 'Super close' or some other nonsense, then they will start "Beta" and 4-6 months later release the expansion.

Ill say 20 months. "We were halfway through development when Chris Metzen stopped it and said 'not enough orcs and where is the Anduin/Wrathion marriage and honeymoon quest chain?? Start over. Oh and where is the class fantasy? They still have more than 5 buttons to press."

If Blizzard will provide their services properly and create content faster that would be great - say 6 months.
BUT in reality it will last a year or abit less -_-

I am going to go with 9 months, with the pre-patch to the next expansion coming around the 8-8 1/2 point.
