FINAL DAY to get windows 10 for free

Then there is no point for me upgrading to 10. I am sticking with my original plan and going to Windows 10 only on the new PC. Its not a spend money thing. I am going to need to buy a new OS for the new computer anyways. I just prefer using 7.

i wouldnt bother with windows 10, all people who say its good say1. faster boot/loading times2. DX12 is the best thing since sliced bread ( funny cos these people didnt say shit about how good DX11 is compared to how DX9 was, reaon being there is barely any noticeable diffrence unless your a benchmark nerd)3. uses less resourcesnumber 1 and 2 can be altered and made better in windows 7 using tweaks, DX12 is being overhyped to the average AAA title gamer they aint gonna notice anything. i jsut dnt think its worth sacrificing your privacy for a new DX and slightly faster load and boot times and prolly a few FPS increase in games

I honestly don't even know what the privacy argument is about, what are people worried about exactly? Serious question. What "information" are you worried about getting out? I browse porn sites without any blockers on or without incognito mode, what do i care if google knows i watch porn lol. Its just odd to me why people care so much about this stuff.

Paranoid people who try to spread it to other people. Literally Microsoft has the same privacy collection system as a lot of other companies now and for some reason because they are doing it as well they get shit for it. It's like when Blizzard do something a lot of other games/game companies do and people shit on them for it yet they don't with the others basically.

DX12's multi-threaded capabilities put it worlds ahead of DX11's performance, finally unlocking modern multicore cpu power for gaming. Removing other inefficiencies and so on. AMD's Mantle already proved what low level API's can do for gaming performance when supported and with DX12 improving upon that and not requiring a specific brand is a game changer, especially for the i7 crowd.

Granted it's a "theoretical" test by 3DMark API Overhead Test, you're not going to get 10X the performance over DX11 but anywhere in between is still a marked improvement. You can run this test now if you own 3DMark and Windows 10.

yeah if you can afford an I7 with a r9 260 then yeah go with windows 10, if you dnt have top of the line stuff i nyour pc your not gonna see a high performance are you, not everyone can afford the best of the best pc parts

The GPU is irrelevant in that as the test is testing the CPU's draw calls to the GPU, not the GPU's performance directly. The problem with new hardware is that the CPU is increasingly becoming a bottleneck even if you have a top of the line i7. DX12 aims to improve its efficiency by many orders of magnitude to gain an overall performance boost. You should learn this stuff before criticizing it imo.

Any multi-core and more specifically multi-threaded CPU is going to see gains with DX12. The only question is how big are those gains going to ultimately be, which is up to the developers.

Full disclosure though, yeah my computer is a fuckin' beast (i7-5930K, Intel NVMe SSD, 2x 980 Ti) and I can't wait to unleash it in Deus Ex.

2. DX12 support.
3. Boots up about 10x faster than windows 7 when using a hard drive.
4. More stable than windows 7.

I personally think it looks better than 7 too, but that is subjective.

love how you thin you dnt need to secure your privacy and in an earlier post u mention that you wasnt doing anything incriminating, theres nothing wrong in wanting your data secure srsly, people use that tin foil hat crap, yeah having a bit of paranoia is healthy but for me i suffer with severe paranoia due to schizophrenia, i have my pc on fucking lockdown using registry hacks to disable alot of features which can be used to disable k9 web filter, im not a kid i installed it myself using a disposable email so i cant access the filter. my pc is setup perfectly so i dnt have to alter anything and i will only make the move to windows 10 when 7 isnt supported by blizzard games and this is the same for alot of people aobut blizzard

Ok so the paranoia is your issue that you are trying to use against people upgrading. Gotcha. Sucks that you have it extremely and all but please don't use your paranoia as an excuse to why Windows 10 is bad because of privacy. Fair enough you don't want to upgrade because of that reason. Also no having paranoia is not healthy at all for the brain as it can lead to things such as lack of sleep and other things. Also that's funny because a lot of the WoW forums when I went about it a few weeks after Windows 10 were full of posts saying it was nice for them.
