Mechano-Hog recipe still bugged for me. Do any engineers have a work around?

The issue with this recipe is well known I believe. I've others reference it. When you head to the vendor to purchase it, the recipe tells you that it is 'Already Known' even though it is not in your profession window. Was kinda hoping it might have been fixed up in the new patch, but alas, no. Has anyone here heard of a work around for this?

I have yes, about a year or so ago. It was put down as a 'known issue' but they had no other suggestions.

Are u on an alliance toon when trying to craft this, cause I thought Mechano hog = horde, and the chopper = alliance, so if u know 1 of them u know both of them, I could be wrong tho.
