Most likely not. It's not a program running in the background so it's something blizzard will hotfix within the API. We've had way more lucrative addons in the past and no bans have ever gone out. Remember the addon that placed markers on the ground and drew stuff on the ground during raid encounters?

blizzard either have to break this addon, or give us more distance ingame without the addon.

not acting upon it would basically say - we'll change the game how we want it, but you can ignore us and change it back with addons lol.

Probably, Blizz says it took it away because it gave an unfair advantage, so you are probs cheating in their eyes, it will be hotfixed anyway, I can't see them allowing it.

Nah. It's like AVR from WotLK. They'll just break the APIs so that they can't be used this way.

If it shows them how serious we are about wanting the maxdistance back, then yes. I do want them to break the entire Addon API every time one of these pops up. Max distance is more important to me as a raid leader than literally any other addon, considering boss abilities and timers can be largely memorized.

Can't get banned for using their Addon API to do something. Its up to them to fix it if it has undesired effects.

yes it could make more of a case for blizzard to revert the camera distance making the addon pointless, either way i don't see the addon having a long life.

Id like to see what blizz will tell if this addon gets 500k downloads till tomorrow. Already ppl in my class discord are mass installing it. Pretty much 900 ppl.
