Ideas, not People or Groups. Episode I: BLM

    Yeah,

I'm kind of tired of people discussing people/groups and not ideas. So I came up with an idea.

    Here's BLM's platform: https://policy.m4bl.org/

    Have at it.

    Ground Rules:

    1. Read the thread title..
    2. Live by the god damn thread title.
    3. Love the thread title.
    4. Carress the thread title.
    5. Hold the thread title.

    Go.

So basically, you're asking for a discussion directly surrounding the stated ideas of the group?
Putting aside what the group may or may not actually do, and instead focusing on the theoretical aspects of their stated goals or beliefs.

I like the "back to bascis" angle, the only problem with it is that the group (any group) is not bound to those ideas, or may take action that they claim supports their ideas but in actual fact contradicts them (or at least fails to live up to them).

The idea that black live matters, too (because everyone swears it is implied), is not bad, even if it is mostly invoked against issues that affects everyone.

Also, black power and reparations. Just. No.

Like any other BLM thread, this is basically about race, and we don't allow race threads.
