Not one single mention of the criminal speeding through a neighborhood in a stolen car. He could have run a kid over or some other bystander. Not to mention police are supposed to protect the lives of everyone, not just the criminals you feel sorry for. This guy the ran through a backyard, potentially putting more lives at risk. This guy was not surrendering, so as long as he is running (through neighborhood backyards, no less) he is potentially putting more lives at risk.

3.06 times more likely for blacks to be killed during arrests, but this matches the violent criminality. Correlation may not necessarily = causation, but I think there might be a link between being a violent criminal and getting killed by the cops. Just a hunch.
