RX 470 or GTX 950 ?

So I'm getting a new pc for legion (and for some other games like hots, dota2, overwatch, and some rpgs like witcher/fallout and stuff like that at 1920x1080) and and I was pretty much set to use a I5-6400 with gtx 950... but earlier i watched this video:

It says RX 460 but the charts show a lot of video cards including the RX 470... well, the rx 470 basically destroys the gtx 950... there seem to be really a much bigger difference than I thought and now I'm not sure what to buy... I can find the gtx 950 at around 140euro while the rx 470 would cost me at least 225 (i guess will go down in a bit but legion comes soon so i cant really wait much longer). Do you think it's worth it? I guess for WOW even the gtx 950 will be fine for years, but i guess the rx 470 would last me longer for other games coming out... should i go for it? Thanks!

Depends on how many other games you play, like you said the 950 will be good for years in WoW.

Almost every game you listed in optimized for NVIDIA. We dont know for sure how good RX 470 will be (and RX 480 predictions were mostly overhyped) but GTX 950 is a pretty old card. Also, it's probably right to compare RX 470 to GTX 960, given the price.

Stretching it to 960 is going into rx 470 price territory. I have the same debate. I am dissapointed in the rx 470 pricing. At first I was considering the 950 seeing as people are doing well with the 750ti even. But then I heard about the "soon to be launched 150$ recomended msrp rx 470" and the wait was on ...aaand because expectations did not meet reality I am left with the same dabate - Is the gtx 950 good enough for WoW ? My main struggle with this is my budget dictates either i3 6100 + rx 470 or i5 6500 + gtx 950. Seeing as WoW is more cpu dependent and the recomended cpu is now a quad core, I am more inclined to go with the latter.

GTX 950 is still good for WoW. You can probably squeeze both GTX 960 and i5-6500 in, post your budget and build draft, we can help work it in.

Not even a contest as the 470 crushes the 950 and 960 quite handily and is basically on par with a 970. I would always try and stretch towards the better card if its only $50 or so out of your price territory. It'll be worth it in the end.
