Can Sylvanas bring back Varian as an Undead?

If she were there, I'm sure she could. She doesn't like to bring people back without loved one's permission. She got into huge trouble I think during MOP for even suggesting it.

For general necromancy, it doesn't matter. Sylvanas' resurrection seems more specialized into bringing souls back to their original bodies.

Utterly impossible. He's completely gone. Not just dead. His soul has been ripped apart. This is the single most powerful form of obliteration you'll find in Warcraft universe. Perhaps just behind being removed by the void.

Has his soul actually been destroyed though, or just captured? Destroying a soul as a warlock is just wasteful, there are so many good uses for a soul, especially if you could capture some of Goldrinn's essence.

I guess if you bring him back in another persons corpse, like gul'dan did with gorefiend, when its possible, but in any way, it wouldn't be Varian now even if his soul survived.

Blizzard can do and will do anything they want to bend, break or make exceptions to the rules. If they want Sylvanas to bring Varian back then Sylvanas will bring Varian by some means.

k, so arthas isnt dead and was not the lich king but regent lord of orgrimmar, vol'jin is actually an elf, loa are old gods.
and everything is true because blizz can and will bend lore if they want to do so.
