Today we’re excited to announce we’ve agreed to acquire a company that will help our community grow ever larger yet stay more connected than ever.

We’ve long been fans of what they’ve been doing and we know a lot of you have been too. As discussions with Curse progressed, we have gotten to know their exceptional team who shares our passion for gaming and are equally committed to supporting communities with an enriched, and more enjoyable experience. This acquisition will help provide gamers with the tools and resources they need to achieve the ultimate gaming experience, a mission shared by both Twitch and Curse. Together Curse and Twitch will help gamers connect, interact, and share information with one another.

All those free addons that we have been using. You can kiss the free part goodbye. Bet the farm we see some type of monetization. If Amazon/twitch didn't see a viable way to make a steady profit they wouldn't have even bothered. Imagine if all your addons just disappeared. Now imagine what you would give to have them back. Addons like DBM , I see $4.99 a month. would you give it? You can bet somebody , somewhere is figuring up what the community would give for each addon and at a decent price that they know the customer will give. The wheels are turning...

Techically you can already rate threads at top right corner. I don't know how this helps however since I don't even know how to see the rating of thread. Upvoting and downvoting itself can be rather bad, because it will turn threads into big circle threads more than they are at the moment. It's better to see opinions from various sides than overwheling majority opinion.
