Winter. My thryoid function is very low, so I have a low body temperature and putting on more layers doesn't particularly help because they just don't warm up enough.

Look into heated gloves and such. These keep me warm through Canadian prairie winters with -40C days. Something similar should help you with London winters.

I really dislike Anime (except maybe Akira, Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the shell [first movie]). I would recommend One Punch Man though. His blank and basic stare is rather hilarious compared to all the other characters. Plus, it also pokes fun at the common tropes in Anime, such as the ridiculous names they call their attacks.

Maybe I just come from two cultures where everyone drinks it.

Japanese are famous for beer, everyone here drinks it. Most friends I've made in America drink beer. If they don't either they say they don't drink, they don't like American beer or they prefer drinking harder alcohol.

When I've been to Europe most people there seemed to like other types of alcohol more depending on the country. The big exception was Germany. I've heard they drink a lot in Belgium but I haven't been there since I was a kid so I wouldn't know.

Other things...

1. Most "blockbuster" movies nowadays, which is like a 2-hour adrenaline fest with infinitely more special effects than plot. If there is any evidence of the actual dumb-ing down of America, this would be it. Along with...
2. Kim Kardashian. The woman was one of Paris Hilton's "friends" who got peed on in a sex tape and became famous. Her family acts like trash and she looks like an Oompa Loompa in unedited photos/without makeup. I spent 10 minutes watching an episode of KUWTK once and I think an entire hemisphere in my brain died.
3. Bars/getting drunk. I used to go at least every weekend with friends during my early 20s (typically multiple nights per week), every college-aged kid spends their weekend getting smashed (or at least tipsy) and then does stupid shit. Honestly hanging out in bars is fun if there is good conversation or you're too drunk to care that the bar is too loud for good conversation, and that sitting around on bar stools getting drunk is actually a pretty dull affair. "Doing stupid shit" just seems even more stupid once you are no longer college-aged.
4. Hooking up/one night stands. Basically sex without the stuff that makes sex good, aka some level of intimacy/actually liking the person that you're with. It's like the Diet Coke of sex, if that Diet Coke was lukewarm and had been watered down by sitting in a glass of ice for an hour or so after the ice had melted.
5. Country Fairs/"street fairs": Basically long rows of "buy my overpriced shit" vendors. And maybe some rides/games for kids.
6. Card games (Hearthstone, Magic, etc): You spend a crap ton of money, time and energy collecting cards so you can get that super rare and powerful card that you have maybe a chance of popping up when you need it...seems like a RNG/P2W fest. Why aren't purely skill-based games like chess more popular online? I guess it's harder to make money off of them versus games like Hearthstone. Sure you can do the daily quests I guess...your opponents are also doing them, and buying/crafting the cards...
7. Marriage. Seems pointless, why not just have a LTR...you can leave whenever you want, you get to keep all of your crap...
8. The SUPER SUPER high value women place on relationships (women only). Some women don't even seem to care who they're dating, they'll date some homeless drug addict as long as they can say they're in a relationship with someone. Your self esteem should not be dependent on your relationship, what are you going to base your self-worth on in the event that you break up?
9. High heeled shoes. Yes they are sexy, they are also terrible for your feet. Also are you going to chase after some asshole who stole your purse in those shoes? Fuck no you're not. Sexy shoes are best for the bedroom.
10. Fish. Feeding the fish, blah blah is a lot of pointless work for little to no reward. Also fish sortof creep me out.
11. Children. Kids are great, one day maybe I'll consider having them. They are also expensive and time consuming. You know what's less expensive and time consuming, and will always be there for you? Chocolate cake.
12. World of Warcraft. Not a terrible game but there are better games out there, who would have an infinitely more amazing product if they had even 1/10th of WoW's budget. Why WoW has remained the ultra mega MMO for so long is a mystery to me.
