Hey guys,

I'm trying to make the transition to AFF from Demo and i think i have the rotation down but not sure. Honestly for my item lvl i feel like i should be pulling more dps. Ill post logs and armory. If im jacked up please let me know what im doing wrong and what i should be doing. I just ran my AFF spec on star augar to see how it would be single target then switched to demo so thats the fight to look at. Any suggestions would be great.

1. Two legendaries and 35+ traits make a huge difference.

2. You want a balance of haste and critical.

3. On Star Augur, and in general, unstable affliction should be your highest damage source by far. You have a similar number of casts compared to other warlocks who did a lot more damage on a fight of similar length. To me, that says that it's either a gear issue, or you might not be fully draining every UA. It's OK to let siphon life fall off the boss to continue draining.

I need some help. I feel im doing my rotation to the best of my ability. currently progressing 8/10 ΝΗ HC.
having big issues to my dps or rotation but not sure . i got high enough ilvl to have big Dps but i am not able to se my name above 9th place.

Hey guys,

I've been playing Demonology for a little while now, switched to it just prior to Nighthold. I am following Not's guide to the best of my ability, I typically run a 3211122 talent build unless I need AoE, and I feel like I'm doing the rotation correctly, but I'm just not pushing the numbers I should be. I run sims of myself on Good settings (not Elite) and often do 50-70k DPS lower than the sims. To give you an idea, on my old boomkin, I was matching my sims when I ran them on Good settings.

I've tried comparing myself to high parsing Demo locks at a similar ilvl with similar fight length, raid size, and stats, but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. My pet damage is consistently lower. My cast counts are lower, too, but that's a L2P issue I'm sure.

I would really appreciate some tips and advice!

Hi, So I'm affliction and our guild is finishing up Heroic Nighthold/starting Mythic. I do competitive DPS (relative to the rest of my guild) except on Elisande and Gul'dan. I don't have a godsdamned clue why. I outperform our other lock on most other fights despite being outgeared, but on the last two bosses I'm really low.

Comparing myself with the other lock, we have roughly the same proportions of total damage from spells, within the error of statistical significance... I feel like I'm doing mostly everything correctly but I can't figure out why I'm so outclassed on just these two fights. Any ideas?

It's in two parts because our warrior tank disconnected for a second (he does the logging). Also I wasn't there for the mythic Skorpyron so ignore that - I voluntarily sat myself out because we needed to drop from 23 to 20.

Hi, I'm a aff lock and I usually have around 90 percentile logs but would like if someone could check my logs in order to go 95+, I post a krosus log from today (pug).

I know one of my problems is refreshing my dots too early, but otherwise they'll expire during the UA+drain, this is when I'm already with 4 shards so im about to get shard capped.

Hi, im Destrolock and essentially wondering what i could improve as it is to get out more proper damage numbers, always feel like im way underperforming for the gear i have. usually run it through with AskMrRobot, but uncertain of how accurate those gearing advises actually are.

unfortunately, can only give out name and Server (Caledan/Blackhand) since not enough posts yet to also give Logs with it, but its more about general improvement anyway.

it´s mostly about where i could improve besides getting lucky with BiS legendary and getting up the Artifact, whats maybe possible to shift around statwise. really somewhat lost where i got some space for improvement that isn´t just better gear.

also, which legendary ring would actually be a better improvement (AskMrRobot says the Wilfreds Ring of Superior Summoning gives out more overall by a bit, but unsure there with Sephuzs Secret being the alternate option, and thinking the procc might help more?)

Hello guys!

I am playing destro and i feel that im way behind with my dps.
I checked a lot of other guides, logs and tried several ways to perform better.
As I ve checked good destro locks around 890 have for example at Krosus hc 600k dps.
Mine was under 400k..
I checked also that these locks have much more casts and dmg.
I still don't have the 4 pieces of tier set so this maybe an option.

the log is 2 weeks old now from a few bosses, not every fight there was ideal, i've had better fights on certain bosses since but it's a general idea.

I know that i need to keep a higher doom uptime but other than that i can't really see why my dps is so low compared to other locks of my itemlevel.

Hello guys, I play affliction lock and i feel for my gear i am under preforming, im trying to make sense of logs by comparing to similar parses, but i dont really know how to make sense of it. From what i see im casting similar numbers of spells but they are doing less damage, is this poor drain soul uptime?

I'll tell you exactly what you are doing wrong. 88% mastery is way to low. Get that to 100 at least but ideally 110+

Wow those numbers are really low. How did you manage that lol well for starters never use Phantom Singularity that's number 1.

You must be screwing up MAJORLY on your drain cycles to do dps that low especially on Trillax, Star Auger and Krosus. You should honestly run WIA and SE on those fights and focus on only maintaining dots on boss and SE and dump UA whenever you can on boss. Much more forgiving because it's easy to keep dots refreshed while doing mechanics. You should see a 100-150k increase because 200k dps tells me you are getting interrupted during drain cycles or just doing something majorly wrong.

Looking for some help with Heroic Gul'dan. I feel and by looking at logs my damage is terrible. Its low on adds and boss I can play affliction or destro. I feel like wreck havoc here is ideal, but again my damage is pretty low. Hello champs,

I am in a fairly laidback raiding guild. We raid 2 days a week 5 hours in total. In those 5 hours we try to progress as much as we can. We've reached the point that we are at Gul'dan on Heroic.

The problem is that I feel I am pretty low on DPS and thus possibly a let down for the guild. Hopefully you guys can give me some pointers, or tell me what I'm plainly doing wrong.

Hey everyone, started playing Aff lock around 7.1.5. Since NH my dps has been very low and inconsistent. I'm not sure where to go from here. Toxiclock would be me.
