How are you supposed to get tailoring to 800?

Imbued recipes go green at 770.... WTF... I want 800 so I can make my saddle blankets.

Rank 2 Imbued pieces are Orange (with multiple skill point rewards too).
I dunno how far until they change and you'd need the Rank 3 versions for the final stretch, but I would guess until 775, or 780?

I lucked out and the two I crafted for personal use (Bracers for Obliterum Forge quest, Chest for actual use) got instant unlocks for the second Ranks

All 815 R2 are learned as soon as you craft the first R1 version.

Im in the same boat as you with my BS, stuck at 780 and nothing offers skill ups besides the unlearned mount.

Here is a hint.... you don't need to get to 800. The saddle blanket does nothing.

At least they're green. I'm at 79X herbalism and ALL herbs are grey. Even Felwort. No idea how to get to 800.

I used the Darkmoon profession quests to get 800 herbalism.

From 780 all rank 2 and lower recipies are grey, you need a rank 3 recipe to get to 800. Rank 3 recipes are yellow till 790 and green till 800.
Most rank 3 recipes require exalted with some faction but there is one that you can buy in dalaran sewers for the sightless eyes (both rank 2 and 3), the rank 1 of that recipe is sold in val'sharah for 100 cloth.
p.s. I dont think the saddle blanket does anythig. Maybe something for some hidden quest later on but definitely doesn't increase speed, prevent daze, allow any interactions with items/gathering, prevent/decrease fall damage, increase mount cast time, reduce damage taken while mounted.

I have no idea how to get blacksmithing to max either. Everything I can make is grey and I just can't find a vendor or trainer that can give me new recipes.
Not that it matters, as professions turned out to be a waste of time for the most part.

Well, I guess enchanting, alchemy and inscription is still needed but the rest has nothing you really need.
