Ferocity Pet Threat

I'm finding that my pet keeps dying in dungeons - both with BM and Surv specs. They are always ferocity and don't have any "growl" skill that could be enabled and yet they are pulling threat to the extent that it's a problem.

So, what am I missing? I've played a hunter since 2010 and I've always been able to control their threat, but it seems to me that ferocity pets are pulling threat when they shouldn't.

Any advice?

Errr, ferocity still gets Growl. The fact that you missed that makes me think that's your problem here. It may not show up on the pet's bar but it will be in the spellbook.

ok - I'll check again. Normally I would expect to see it on the pet bar.
