How hard is it leveling Prot?

Just go and lvl as prot. You will not regret it.
You may do less damage but you will make up for it by just aoeing down 20 mobs at once. Also, you're literally unkillable. Elites? Group quests? Just solo that shit. No problem at all.

In the open world I only died once and that was by running off a cliff while I was alt tabbed out.

I prefer protection over ret for questing really. I've tried both. I love the 4 set for prot paladin, it really is amazing, AS being both interrupt and hard hitting ability. Gonna miss it when I hit 110.
