Hi, last Wednesday or Thursday I logged in to complete my emissary quest. I was really knackered and the following ensued -

1. The quest was wardens, I completed all four across the broken Isles. And turned in the initial quests from the order hall in azsuna.

2. I received an item at some point (from the cache I think) "key for a secret vault in VotW)

3. I keyed the item into wow head with no results, I tried Google and got this(previous) thread.

4. Looked for the item in bag and could not see it but did have one item" cannot retrieve item from the database" or something g similar.

5. Went to bed

6. Got back up again cos I couldn't sleep thinking about it, and logged back in

7. Made a ticket as again I couldn't find it and the item I thought it was was still buggy.

8. Next day logged in and the buggy item was not the key but a scribbled note.

9.updated my ticket to note the item was not the key.

10. Received ticket ticket response to delete wtf folder and remove add on etc. I again advised this was not the issue. I checked online what I had vendorerd /destroyed and the item was not there

11. Again received update for the ticket saying I should delete add ons etc

12. I advised that this was not the issue- where was the key I received. I also scoured the vault and didn't find anything based on what I read in this thread.

13. Received a response from blizzard again saying the same thing. I advised they are not answering my question on the item.

14.no reply for 2 days now.

So what do you make of that?

Typo's must be terrible, I am writing this at work and it's really large, sorry!


2. I had 2 quests From my order hall, one from kalecgos, the other from the naaru.

3. At some point I received a reward - I think from the emissary chest

I'd like to reiterate a few things for those who keep adding to this thread.


BEFORE you post, please READ the OP's first post. It lists out critical information including the ONLY KNOWN FACTS surrounding the hidden appearance. Those facts consist mainly of datamined quest dialogue. This dialogue was laid out by blizzard with the expectation that it would be datamined and scrutinized by the community. This is an important consideration.

The first post also lists interesting leads.

I would also like to note that the new bindings do not have to come from a fire elemental. The old quest dialogue from the beta made reference to the "cursed bindings of ragnaros". That quest has since been marked as outdated and been replaced by the newly datamined quests.

It should also be noted that while the datamined flavor text on the bindigns says that they are intended for Thunderaan, they don't say they are intended to imprison Thunderaan, as the quest dialogue leads us to believe that we bring one binding to him(or his underling) and are sent out to get a second binding to give both to thunderaan.

First post literally has like 4 "known facts". The rest is data mined conversation text and theories. People talking about possible locations to obtain the emanation of winds is completely relevant. So not sure what this little tangent is even about

The qst dialogues are the facts and hints we have. The only solid info datamined from the game. Theres no conjecture or guesswork about them.


The "tangent" is about people who post crap without taking the time to read or skim what has been debunked already. Most of the replies in this new thread are just such people.

The emanation of the winds is the reward, not the start. The trigger to be able to obtain the first binding is still unknown, obviously.

It doesn't matter. OP is made of verified leads and a recap of already done researches with possible future leads. It is helpful since last thread was impossible to follow at a certain point.

Coming here posting random crap/walls of text/"hey guys i found this strange thing!" makes only everything worse because a) they don't bring literally anything on the table and b) it isn't an effort oif discovering something.

I am not automatically dismissing new leads; coming here and just do "SEE DIS!" will be treated as spam, as warned on first page.

EDIT: just to reiterate on the subject and be extremely clear; someone coming and telling us he found something new and followed the lead up to a certain point which seems promising and asking for a second opinion is completely fine. Sometimes we need an answer from someone else from another point of view.

But jumping in with a random screenshot telling us to look at it has zero information value.

Calling it right now, you save Cenarius in the Emerald Nightmare, he says some dialog about how the druids have been protecting an elemental binding taken from Ragnaros. But now that he's seen how easily they can be corrupted by the Nightmare, he no longer believes the binding to be safe in the druids' hands, so he tasks rogues with protecting it for some reason (maybe because we're great at hiding things?).

That first binding sends us on the quests that we already know about to go talk to someone who says we need to find another one to arrange an audience. We then get the 2nd one from Ash'golm and bish bash bosh, we have a Thunderfury.

Thing is, no one knows where this starts. Taking data mined info that we aren't supposed to know yet and trying to back track that could, but isn't likely, to give you the start. Hell for all we know the start of this could be a random drop off any mob after hitting AK 10.

I agree that the spam posts shouldn't be happening but people coming in to post things that haven't been said yet shouldn't be dismissed simply because they don't fit with the data that was mined. Just my 2 cents.

The datamined information was deliberately not hidden from us.

They have hidden every aspect of the hidden appearances except the quest dialogue that we have found by data-mining and the items themselves, it follows that blizzard counted on us finding said information.

Posting a good lead is done by finding something, checking if its been investigated, if not, then doing some further investigating yourself, screenshotting, and then posting your conclusions for peer review.

Cache is goodie bag - the chest you receive - the point is I found a key from a chest, which is noted in the compendium, for a hidden room in Vault of the Wardens.

Hello fellow rogues. I went to check out the murloc island in azsuna. Here's what i found:

1. Spurt, a level 99 Humanoid NPC who looks very similar to that one statue in the class hall vault:

2. A large pearl like the one underwater in azsuna, surrounded by treasure and guarded by murlocs:

3. 2 Skeletons holding eachothers hands:

None of these things can be interacted with and I did not see anything when using detection. However, Spurt might be a lead?

Edit:

-Occasionally, one of the murlocs casts some sort of lightning bolt on Spurt.
-I tried pickpocketing all the murlocs multiple times, got nothing worth mentioning.
-Killing the bird "Salty" did not yield any loot.
-There's also a human named "Weird Beard" hanging from one of the sails. Haven' been able to kill him as i always pull all the murlocs.
-The island has its own graveyard. Haven't seen anything while in ghost form though

The first quest in the "Balance of Power" chain for Improving on History.
IMPORTANT WARNING: This questline will send you to do specific Mythic dungeons in succession, and you may not complete the quests in this chain if you're locked out of these dungeons for the week. (When the raids come out, it will also send you on detours through Emerald Nightmare.)

After this quest, Senegos sends you to Mythic Eye of Azshara for The Heart of Zin-Azshari.

Something that's been nagging me lately. Sometimes when i'm hanging out in the OH, I'll see Vanessa give this emote "Vanessa gives you a final look and then walks off."

I'm always afk when it happens, but has someone successfully followed Vanessa when you see this emote? One time i was close, just a minute behind the emote, but even after trying /tar Vanessa, i couldn't find her, so i think she does the emote then stealths off.

First off sorry if this had bean posted/said before but i did not see it atlest.

But couple of days ago i was able to loot a key for the Thunderking treasure place (the one from back in MoP) in Marin Noggenfogger's valt wether it was i turned in one of his lucky coins or he came back with the key himself i cant remember it may of even bean both as i had gotten 2 of the keys.

Point is my theorie is maybe we are able to do something there in regards maybe starting a quest for it or a drop from there, im afrade i was never good at doing this treasure place i never got very far, and i only had them 2 keys that 1 night.

hope someone better then me is maybe able to do something with this info and come up with something, it would make sens though with it being the Thunderking and haven taken Ra-den's power witch leads to, (unless the story and nore has changed) Ra-den making the "Fists of the Heavens" and imbued them with the elemental lord Al'Akir
