I think incoherent is a very apt description.
I actually used to hate Jim Sterling, I laughed when he got shitcanned from the Escapist ('oh, no, that's not right, he left on his own terms because he wanted his own website and' blah blah blah, he was shitcanned and deservedly so) but his recent videos have, for the most part, been on point. There is a very vocal subsection of 'gamers' effectively whinging about 'politics' in gaming where there is none but what they themselves are bringing into it, and bringing attention to that, and showing it as the hate-crime that it is, can only be a good thing. Does it mean Jim Sterling should be trusted? No, he's showing it up as part of an agenda (nothing evil, he just wants views, that's his agenda), but it doesn't mean that he's wrong.
A smart man puts his money on the horse with the best odds...a wise man doesn't waste his money gambling on an outcome he has no control over.
