I will stay up to watch it live (night time here) and I expect maximum entertainment value! Might even turn out to be more of a Comedy Central roast than an actual debate, but truth be told ... that's why I am so exited about it

Trump needs to stick to campaign promises and the truth, or he's going to be verbally surrounded and beaten. That's his only chance here. And his team would be stupid to not know this.

Should be amusing, in a rather sad way.

More amusing still in an even sadder way will be the media coverage. I think most "journalists" have their piece on the debate already written and are only waiting for a few sound-bites.

Thus I bet tomorrow we will read in liberal media than Trump was sexist, racist, islamophobic etc. Whereas in the conservative media we will read that Hillary looked like she was going to collapse an moment, was lying, insulted all those who do not vote for her etc.

hopefully this wont get to moved to a megathread, probably wont watch it live, but will try to keep informed what happens. its bound to be entertaining in the least, im expecting it to be more insults toward the other rather than either actually discussing any policies

It's a shame they seem to be on the money when talking about the current Republican policies and candidate though. Republican voters are afraid of Islam and Mexicans, push anti-gay legislation and you have your own little race war running right now with BLM. Then Trump himself can't handle it when he gets shit from a woman. The terms are overused but accurate.

According to that link they are going to fact check and call out lies. That means Trump is up shit creek without a paddle. The only way he could have won is by doing his usual lying his face off and not be challenged on it. If he has to stick to the truth he has nothing. I mean, he can't talk about blacks being worse off than ever before, he can't say Mexico will pay for the wall (they have refused), he can't say illegal immigrants increase crime (they on average lower it), he can't talk about him being against the prior wars while Hillary was for them (he was too), it just goes on and on and on in an endless stream. If he can't do this, if he can't create his own false fantasy reality and pretend its real then else what does he have? I just don't see anything.

The Clinton camp has publicly called for such. On ABC News, they pointed out how it would be one-sided and unfair if Clinton had to give up part of her share of time to point out things Trump has said that anyone in the news industry should know by common knowledge and verifiable information is flat-out factually false.

And they have a point. If Clinton flat-out factually lies, I'd want Holt to call her out, too. It's only fair. But choosing which candidate for President is too important to spend when one of them continues to flat-out deny reality.

EDIT: Now Trump could stick to the issues and his proposed plans. He can at least hold his ground there, but since his tax, health, trade, immigration and military plans have all come under fire from even his own party, he might not make up a lot of ground.

It's going to be a circus, and I'm curious what precautions they're going to take to prevent Clinton from stroking out in public view during it. I'm sure she's going to be pre-medicated, at the very least.
