Personally I think he reeled it in during the 2nd half. The first half was an embarrassment of him being baited and ranting/interrupting but he finally composed himself for the most part. But in the closing statements he flubbed by not directly answering a pretty basic question and instead back tracking to other points that he already went over 100 times in the first half.
She needed to go on the aggressive at least once. Her passive approach seemed weak, especially when he was shouting and talking over her.
Hi
They're interviewing some Cuban guy on CNN. I don't get the...oh wait, that's Mark Cuban. Tune in and watch!
Yep have to agree. He was doing fine keeping himself in check during the first half. However he quickly lost it when he was asked about some of his scandals and did not know how to properly answer. It was a great thing to witness though. I specially loved when he doubled down on his lie about the Iraq war.
She didn't buy the election.
Donald Trump forgot to fund raise. Forgot to campaign. Forgot to build a ground game.
Actually no. Let me correct myself.
Donald trump was advised by very knowledgable people to gain the money and the resources to build the infrastructure needed to WIN an election, but Donald Trump being a pathologically egotistical son of a bitch, as usual, ignored that advice.
When Hillary wins the election, it won't just be her beating Donald Trump. It will be Donald Trump beating Donald Trump. Because the mechanics of an election DO matter and Donald Trump is not above them.
Posing questions to be answered by the nominees, including major issues that have arisen about their candidacy, is absolutely the moderator's role.
If anything, he needed to be way more strict, particularly with Trump, who was flagrantly breaking the rules of the debate increasingly often as the debate went on. There needs to be a penalty for that kind of behaviour. Cut his mic, if he won't stop interrupting, and only turn it back on when you hand him back the floor.
Anyone have a link to the debate? I missed it because 6 hours of running mythic+.
Most people would rather die than think, and most people do. -Bertrand Russell
Before the camps, I regarded the existence of nationality as something that shouldn’t be noticed - nationality did not really exist, only humanity. But in the camps one learns: if you belong to a successful nation you are protected and you survive. If you are part of universal humanity - too bad for you -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
He did fine. How well the debate went for each candidate depends on who you ask. In my opinion it was basically a tie. He did nothing to sway any of those who support him now and she did nothing to win over any of those who are hesitate to vote for her in the first place.
