It's clearly not a gear thing as the gear gap was exactly the same. It was the legendaries and under tuning more then likely.

For what it's worth, that's 5 ilvls difference between the 2 (Exorsus were 12 ilvls below mythic ilvl and Paragon were 17 ilvls below it) which is pretty massive.

That's a huge bullshit , every top guild did 5+ split runs on the first week, the only difference is that exorsus didn't do any during the second and they just facerolled the whole instance with no need to get extra gear.

Serenity/method wasted too much the first day doing 6 hc splitruns and only gaining 1-2+ avarage ilvl for the guild because they was already so geared.

Short sprints like this are extremely volatile and the smallest of factors can make a huge difference. Prime example being Exorsus skipping heroic splits and resultantly beating everyone else by at least a night's worth of sleep, because they were able to keep raiding Mythic the whole way through. Longer stretches of progression are what test a guild's capabilities much more and usually end up in the best guild taking the trophy, as was the case in WoD. If the earlier, easier bosses had been the deciding factors then the top three would've looked far different than they eventually did in both BRF and HFC. (which were for all intents and purposes the real races)

I think what your not getting, even coming from Paragon is that races are about who is the fastest. Anything else is not important. There are also alot of sketchy worldfirsts in the past and noone is questioning them anymore because the faster guild won, even if they wre just faster to find a cheese or xploit and using it to their advantage. Every guild had the same chance and Exorsus won. Its never about what guild has actually the best players, because i am pretty sure there are alot great players that dont compete at all. If they would maybe the top 3 would look alot different.
