Destro Vs Demo logs?

All top warlock players and theorycrafters say that destruction is a lot better than demonology for current raid tier, but why are demo locks still out performing destruction on wow logs? I thought by know it would slightly resemble destruction in the lead but it really doesn't. Demo seems lack luster in every fight in emerald nightmare, including both ursoc and nythendra, as literally any kind of movement significantly hinders their dps, yet they seem to be on top.

Demonology is only really out performing it on Heroics and that's because Heroics are so insanely out-geared right now that the things that Destruction would normally cleave off of die too fast. In Mythics, Destruction is stronger on the fights it should be. Pure ST will favor Demonology, but there isn't much of that in Mythic.

according to logs, both affliction and demonology are beating destruction overall for mythic. But I assume theres just a lack of data for mythic atm.

It's simply because you have a shitton of logs for such trash bosses like Nythendra where Demo is easily better and almost no parses of actually challenging bosses like Cenarius, Xavius and Ilgynoth which are where Destruction is good.
