Potion of the old war rank 2

Is the only option to obtain potion of old war rank 2 from arcway last boss? If yes, then i'm fucked because i'm locked..

I have gone throug arcway both on regular mythic and mythic+ (had to try mythic+ just in case). So it does not really matter if I run the dungeon twice since first time makes me loot locked and I dont have the option to loot the boss corpse.

Not really a big deal but I just wanted to know if it was possible to get it without doing arcway (which i know now that it's not) . I have farmed 500 potions to craft so I just want to craft em

Why would you waste the materials?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can still enter the dungeon even if you're saved to it, kill the bosses but won't get any loot.
Now I'm not sure if the loot part applies even to crafting formulas, but it's not that hard to check since you can still go and kill the bosses.

The amount of mats needed doesn't change per rank, does it? So it isn't really a waste of mats. But thanks for clarifying it can proc to rank 2, too. Dunno if I want to farm all 8 dungeons on my twink...

why people are talking about getting rank 2 from creating the potions? Rank 2 is from the dungeon, Rank 3 is from making a lot of potions (proc).
